Base your choice on the job market and what you're driven to do. If it's something you would love to do and is personally fulfilling, then it's more intrinsically motivating to keep the job when you're there, as opposed to being driven solely by the job, but keep in mind you can't you feed yourself on everything. For example, right out of college I expect to likely go into constituent services because I'm interested in politics and helping people like that would make me feel good about myself, despite it not having great pay, but it is enough pay to get by. Constituent services is not a partisan job.

Being a caseworker involves helping the people of the constituency of the Congressman for whose office I work in their interactions with federal bureaucracy. It's helpful and a good job. As long as they live in the district, I help.

How old is your mom?

First off, I love my job. 1000% love it. But FFS, unless you have an enduring passion for medicine, don't become a doctor. If you don't love it, the job will make you unbearably miserable for the rest of your life. Unless you are incredibly wealthy or outside the USA and thus don't need loans to pay for the education/training, realize that you will be financially trapped in the job to repay your loans. For all practical purposes, you will be an indentured servant

Becoming a doctor against your wishes simply because someone else wants you to be one is a guarantee of years and years of misery and regret.

What should you do? Figure out what you love and become so good at it through hard work that your parents are proud of your accomplishments in that field.
