How Happy Are You?
I'm curious about two things.
First, how much time do you spend on webdip creating political and social discussions to reinforce your own bias among fellow webDippers? What's your deal bro? Second, how many of you are slightly uncomfortable answering the real question: Why are you so unhappy? (and why does webdip help that?)

We have reached the finals! Congrats to all remaining participants who survived the gauntlet of the first two rounds:

Maettu
Fairfax
naked
xorxes
2WL
Tantrum
genghiz

All final round games have been created and sent to all players. Game links are as follows:

Game 1: gameID=174549
Game 2: gameID=174551
Game 3: gameID=174552
Game 4: gameID=174554
Game 5: gameID=174555
Game 6: gameID=174556
Game 7: gameID=174557

Given the length of this tournament, we inevitably encounter real life issues that are covered under our requested pause protocol. This round is no different. We may encounter a pause from 26 Feb to 6 Mar. Apologies in advance, but it is possible that the player in question may not need the pause in its entirety or at all. Any updates will be posted to this thread.

Points for second round solos have been awarded.

Good luck to all players!

Thanks 2WL and Valis (and everyone else who contributed) for all you work on this one. Just to make sure I have the scoring correct, and that we're all on the same page, I copied the scoring system from an earlier post:
SCORING
Final round will prioritize solos.
- 1 point for a solo victory
- No points for draws, survives, or defeats

Tiebreakers in the finals:
1. Total number of centers after completion of final round.
2. Number of draws
3. Number of survives

If this doesn't sound right, please let everyone know. Thought we should get that out there now before we got too far along. Good luck all, looking forward to some good games, hope everyone enjoys the finals!!

"1. Total number of centers after completion of final round."

To be clear, this refers to the total number of centers in the final round only and does not include center count carried over from prior rounds.

Why is total centers prioritized above number of draws for the tiebreaker?

This seems very contrary to the basic priorities of the game -- first to win, then to draw (as opposed to lose during a dash for extra centers).

"Tiebreakers in the finals:
1. Total number of centers after completion of final round.
2. Number of draws
3. Number of survives"

"1. Total number of centers after completion of final round.
2. Number of draws"

i would strongly prefer to make draws more important than number of centers. there is for sure a situation possible with someone having an advantage to throw a game instead of fighting for a draw if this rule stands.
naked (4955 D)
18 Feb 16 UTC
to make it clear with throwing i mean simply fighting for more center instead of fighting for the draw.

I don't think its a big deal to change a scoring system that nobody really paid any attention to until two hours ago. Anyone object to switching centers with draws?

Full disclosure, I didn't think the final round scoring all the way through, mostly because I copied it from last year, and also because I didn't make the finals last year so I didn't really play by the scoring system :P
