Personally I think 1v1 Legolas has hitler beat (I mean I would feel dirty arguing for Hitler) Legolas is an archer first of all and an excellent hand to hand fighter. Now if we extrapolate to a larger fight between the elven forces that legolas could muster and Hitler's vast german armed forces; i'd ave to give it to hitler simply based on tech.

of course you could argue that the magic naturally assosciated with legolas and his world could counter-act the tech and to that I am open; but since we have no definitive examples of magic acting on mechanized equipment I have to go with where evidence brings me. So in conclusion 1v1 legolas... but in large combative groups hitler.

I don't think either of them would win. Legolas would go in to try to kill Hitler, but fail anyways, like they all do. Hitler has survived a lot of assassination attempts in real life, nevermind all the fictional time travel ones.

Of course, maybe all those assassination attemps were time-travellers, and eventually it was decided that the best way to kill Hitler was to also stop his war machine, and actually let him live to make many strategic mistakes... Maybe killing Hitler would have lead to Nazis winning the war. (Taking out the Soviet Union and/or Britian before the US entered the war - or the US never entering the European theatre but fighting Japan single-handedly)

Legolas on the other hand, first has no magic. He's a wood elf, not a high elf. And the 'magic' inherent in his world doesn't count for shit because this is his world - middle earth is written as a fictious ancient earth myth, with the fourth age (of man) being the present day. So...
