There are some very legitimate reasons some investigations take a bit longer. They include, but are not limited to, the case being complex or mods having a life (rare, but happens on occasion).

Four days is not unheard of for a paused game. Given that players have three days to respond, and investigations usually take multiple back-and-forth emails, we ask that you please bear with us while we complete these cases. A paused game isn't the end of the world.

He didn't demand an unpause or anything...he just wanted to know what's going on and didn't get a response to his emails. This is not unreasonable or anything.

The Mods do a great and thankless job, but it is not unheard of for paused games to slip through the cracks on their end. Vikesrussel seems to have made a polite and reasonable request here. He just wants an update and to make sure this one hasn't been lost or forgotten. Seems like he has gotten an answer to that now (still under investigation), so I would say mission accomplished by his post. Also I think Valis would make a great Mod too.

We actually keep a running list of mod candidates for recruiting purposes. Valis is currently ranked somewhere between Conservative Man and some guy who was banned for selling oil paintings.

You shouldn't have mentioned rankings -- next people will ask for them to be published on a monthly basis, and for the criteria to be released for public scrutiny.

Sorry all, there were locking issues with the database and the fix I attempted didn't work as I had hoped; We've put in place some DB pruning measures that should keep things stabile while we figure out a longer term solution, but I understand the frustration this causes and we're doing our best to strike the balance between donor cost effectiveness, feature improvements and user growth.
