Yeah, the number of likes is probably not the most accurate measure of how well-liked or funny you are. What matters more, and someone has already pointed it out, is the ratio of liked to forum post. And here, the winner is undeniably 2WL. He's in a tier of his own.
After him, there's a handful of folks whose ratio is somewhere between .25 and .33 (or 1/4 to 1/3).
If one were to equate this "liked" business to some sort of rating comparison, the number of liked is like the number of points you have on webdip (it's an indication but not a strong one) and the ratio of liked to post is GR.
Now, if one were to get into the math, one would have to be able to keep a list of who liked each comment and factor that into the rating (for example, KA probably follows ghug around and gives him +1 all the time and that certainly biases the ratio), and based of the square-root of the sum of the the true probability that the comment is actually "liked" worthy minus the expected probability with a sigma coefficient to factor in the likely culprits who would give the +1, we can then find a more accurate measure of who would win this battle.
