As a baseball player for 12 years and likely a college player, I think there is a lot to be said for these guys. Baseball is one of three of the top "coordination sports" as I call them (some say "skill sports" but others require skill, just a different type) along with cricket and soccer/football. Golf is right up there as well but it is more a game of physics than baseball is.

I just watched the end of Game 3 and every time I see Sergio Romo, I marvel how he can work a slider at 80 MPH with such hard, late break, and still control it and put it right on Posey's glove every time. I can throw low to mid 70s and once I get there, I don't have a clue where it's going. Those guys really do amaze me.

At the same time, Prince Fielder continues to amaze me. I'm a big guy and I hit for power, even on the crappy bats we're forced to use. I swing similarly to Fielder, being that I hit my back every time I swing for power. I haven't seen the same big swings during the series as I had during the regular season and in Milwaukee in the past. He hit into a double play when they really really needed something to happen. He's been a disappointment.
