No, or if you did, only by playing the draw button. Not sure why you hit draw when you were at 11 and I was at 12. I would have liked to have play it out, but having the board all align against me so soon it just seemed like a waste.

I hit draw to make others like me, obviously, and align against you. Had France or Russia made some gains, I'd have taken it off. But I didn't have anything against a draw, either.

I hope that I am not the only one who finds usage of the draw button in that manner rather questionable.

How is it questionable? It's at the player's disposal, just like any other order. In a GB game, how else does one communicate his wish to end hostilities and unite against the leading player? You've got 29000 , you cannot tell me that you've NEVER done exactly what Zmaj did.

The desire to end hostilities to stop the front runner is fine. And I definitely have used it that way. As a tool to gain friends, as an 11 center player vs. a 12 center player, no, I don't do this.

I've used it when I'm in a solo position before, but only if someone else is already in a solo position and is farther ahead than I am. I think that's what he did. It suggests that you are playing to stalemate, not to solo, and at some point you have to do that. Once a power does it, the small guys jump in… I don't see anything wrong with it.

I agree with you Barnett, it's bush league. One of my pet peeves that will cause me to just throw the game beating on that person.

Let me clarify b/c I didn't check the map or anything. My pet peeve is when say I'm Germany at 7 centers battling a France with 7 centers and neither are making any ground on each other while turkey is cutting through the south at 13 centers. When a France throws up the up the draw and enters mostly hold moves in the spring , I assume he's of the same mind as me were deadlocked lets make sure we get a stalemate line ready and knock off the smaller powers left. But in fall he uses a draw fake out to attack and take a center. It's so pointless but it happens all the time, it's not like France even has a shot at the solo. That's what irks me to the point of just rage quitting on them.
