The Sum of All Fears -- For a Clancy book-film adaption, it was not terrible. I have read the book, and the book was incredible. My only real complaint (aside from the obvious inconsistencies between the novel and the film, as well as the standard late 90's-early 00's action movie cliches) was Ben Affleck. He's usually a terrible actor, but he was particularly awful in this film. I'm no thespian and I could have done a much better job as Jack Ryan.
Goodfellas -- Great movie all around. I'm glad that it is rightfully where it belongs in the AFI Top 100 of all time. I think that American Gangster (2007) and Scarface (1983) are still my top two crime movies (Note: I have not seen The Godfather) but Goodfellas is a close third. Outstanding performances by Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, and Al Pacino respectively push American Gangster and Scarface past Goodfellas, but Goodfellas is still a superb mob movie that did not disappoint.
Crimson Tide -- Great military thriller/sub movie. Realistic premise, highly unrealistic conflict and plot, but still plenty of action to satisfy me. I think that The Hunt for Red October (1990 film, I have read the book) and U-571 (2000) are still my top two sub movies, but Crimson Tide is a close number three, once again carried by the outstanding set and a great performance by Denzel Washington.
