Dropped another 77 places to 346. Guess I need to play more and get some more draws and wins. Too bad life isn't cooperating on that front.

Apparently one win and four defeats (from the gunboat tournament) is enough to bring me up a whopping 773 places in gunboat!

Best to date, though I'm amused that my monthly went from 19 to 13 while my best ever went down from 43 to 46

I find it quite interesting that once you reach the top 100 in GR no matter what you do your position doesn't change that easily (Draugnar is an exception. He goes up and down like an elevator).

The other idea I had -- and not to digress the thread -- would be a utility of some kind where it would fill in the map from a given game and you could move your pieces and other players' pieces to simulate what the next turn might be like so you could visualize the board and figure out the best moves. I think it could be useful.

Oooh, can we start making demands? Because if so I would like to see this reliability ranking that I've heard so much about.

for new players, that might help, though once you have been playing for months, you can do it mentally (and within five minutes, live games rock!)

@ Mapu, check Jdip. The only negative is you always have to start your simulation from 1901, you cant do it from the middle of a game.

there is an "edit mode" feature you can use

I believe I heard that you could import game files into jdip, so what you'd really want is a way to have webdip give you an export file for a particular game that you could then import into jdip.

Mapu, if you haven't, take a look at the Developer info link under the Help link at the top. And introduce yourself on the Developer forum whose link you can find in the same place.

Note that new development is kind of stalled at the moment while Kestas works on a bit of an overhaul. Unfortunately it has been in that state for awhile now.
