I was really on a roll. In spring 1902, I guessed Austria would try for a bounce in the Aegean. I kept the fleet in Smyrna and walked into Greece with Bulgaria. He must have been hitting himself for falling for that. I'm also pretty satisfied with my "magic triangle" in the Mediterranean in 1905 and 1906. Nobody CD'd on my side of the board, unlike France, that 30k loser. And MichiganMan survived until the end! Yay!

For those interested, "oba su pala" means "both have fallen". It's a famous phrase from the war in Croatia in the 1990s. A couple of Croatian guys with an anti-aircraft gun at the coast managed to hit two Serbian warplanes at once and to film the whole thing. It's on YouTube. You can hear the guy cry: "Oba su pala!!" as he couldn't believe his eyes.

I was expecting England to take back a few centers to destroy my fleets and build new ones themselves after I had the extra armies out.

It did cross my mind to try and advance around Munich before the end, but thought it all might have gone horribly wrong so I thought better of it. England could have kept hold of Spain too if I'd supported them from Gascony, I only noticed after the turn.

Good game Zmaj. That was really down to the wire. I do agree a pivotal point to stoping your solo was that support hold on warsaw, just got lucky. I almost blew it in the end letting spain fall, but the recovery units were thankfully nearby. Germany I and I had quite a battle going on, I thought I may have a shot at the solo myself but he was a worthy foe and slowed my progress until it was time to abandon the fight and man the stalemate line. I tried to support germany to warsaw so we could split the pot 3 ways but he didnt go for it and then Russia CD'd, so I thought he was out of the share anyways. :P Great game to the end.

I noticed your chance for the solo, we were head to head for a while. And yeah, it was pretty bold trying to eliminate Russia, too, with all those yellow units swarming around. Good game.
