To Mute or To Unmute Dip33, that is the question!
Yes, this is yet another poll surrounding the Dip33 phenomenon. I've had him muted for a while now, but it looks as though I might be missing out. Should I keep him muted or unmute the kid? Let me know in this latest "+1 Webdip Poll"

Can I send one too?
i sent an e-mail, but didn't provide much detail. I referenced all the other e-mails that they'd be receiving.
i don't waste my time, now i remember why i don't play live games anymore
if i ever suspect cheating, whether i was in the game or not, whether anyone else has reported it, I will still always send an e-mail.
i used to, I'm sick of wasting my time when nothing is done
that live games club looks soooooo good right now
btw, did I suck Lando? Could we have stopped them? I am not familiar with the stalemate lines in the south

If it makes you feel better PE, I've put up the entire player list on ghosts site. Along with links to profiles and the like.

I just need to rewrite the rules and stuff and 150cc will be ready for an official relaunch.

;)

If you want a preview of what I have so far: https://sites.google.com/site/phpdiplomacytournaments/150cc-club

Any suggestions or help, feel free to shoot me an email and I'll get back to you asap.

The Czech (40398 D(S))
21 Nov 11 UTC
@Santa no, you couldn't have stopped them. When one gives away centers so one can solo, there's not much you can do except send the mods an email.
i don't think we could have. not without austria. we did very well, considering. In fact, at the end they couldn't even do shit. kinda pathertic considering it was like 27 centres - 8

when i attacked austria i did so believing that russia and i might work together. that worked out well.
and I thought I had a juggernaut, but at the last second i moved that army to ankarra because something seemed off, I was right
Had y'all all noticed Germany and Russia pulling off bullshit supports against England in 1903-04 or so, then Sarg, Santa, Lando and obi could have made a giant Med stalemate which held 18, but it's GB so communication was off - and hell, 5min games, might not even have taken a look over at England until they started moving on Austria.

Once they got to the Vie/Bud line while still holding BS, it was pretty inevitable, imo.

@damian: that's awesome! I'm gonna have a look-see. any way I can help? I want to get back into the live games groove...

damian (675 D)

Yeah, with all the problems in live games recently it seems like it needed the revival.

I would greatly appreciate suggestions from both you and others on what would make it a better club. Is there anything in particular you'd like to see incorporated into the club?

What do you think could keep it from simply falling out of use again?

The other thing is once I redraft rules and such I would appreciate both feedback, and proofreading.
I would suggest a separate thread for club live games.
damian (675 D)
21 Nov 11 UTC
A separate thread from the club thread?

Or just a club thread in general?
Probably separate from the club thread.

Wait, wait...

Was this a fix?

Or are we suspecting a fix? :/

Because if it was, as Russia/France/England ALL screwed me over...I'm doubly pissed...

I just realized this thread is about the recelty played gunboat.

I was england, but during the game I already wrote an email to the mods. This was more than wierd I think ...
obiwanobiwan (248 D)
21 Nov 11 UTC
I don't know how to complain to the Mods via e-mail...I never HAVE reported on a game...

But I'm sorely tempted to do so this time around, as that one really looks fixed and really screwed me over in particular, Germany/Russia fixed vs. France...

I'll only complain, though, if my fellow gamemates are, I don't want to make a scene or be one of "those" players who protest every other game...

So, what are you guys doing?
rokakoma (19138 D)
21 Nov 11 UTC
Also I wrote the mods the moves detailed until 1906 which I was wondering at ...

What really pisses me off, is it takes a lot of time to play a live game, a few hours, and it turns out I'm just wasting my time.
damian (675 D)
21 Nov 11 UTC
Alright, I can certainly arrange to have a separate advertising thread, apart from the club thread. If you feel that would help.
rokakoma (19138 D)
21 Nov 11 UTC
Here is the email I sent to the mods:
--------------------------------------------------
Hi!

http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=72766#gamePanel

According to some moves between germany and russia, it's hard to
believe somebody is not multiaccounting ...

1906 autumn, killing england without possible retreat seems
suspicious.

1903 spring: support into edinbourgh without earlier indication
germany wants to go there...

1905 spring: support into london without indication ...

1905 autum: support into trieste??? how?
1906 autum: support into serbia, by both germany and russia again ...

Snce this is a WTA gunboat, hard to beleive they haven't attacked
eachother at many cases...

Please take a look at it!

Thanks,

rokakoma (England in this game)

For the record, I complained once for the mods about a game, and it turned out the 2 players were brothers, from the very same IP address, and the older brother was telling the young one what to move :)

The game was cancelled after, and the player apologized.
jmo1121109 (3812 D)

@ rokakoma, so apparently you missed the theme of this thread. Which was to point out a game that some people found odd and get others to send in complaining emails without breaking site rules with a cheating accusation. I don't have any idea what the game looks like and I won't be looking at it, so nobody mistake this as any kind of accusation.
@everyone else, this could probably still be considered one of those "thinly veiled accusations"...just saying.
yebellz (729 D(G))

Speaking as a mod:

Please don't make cheating accusations in the forum. We are looking into this issue.

I strongly encourage the idea of rekindling the live game club. I don't understand why that ever faded away.

Any one up for a live game with KNOWN people who don't multi?
rokakoma (19138 D)
21 Nov 11 UTC
I'm up for a good sleep now ;)

good bye all, sorry again for the public accusation, I didn't know. Good night everyone.
damian (675 D)
21 Nov 11 UTC
The live game club had trouble with actually getting games running. Problem with limiting the player base, it can be harder to find a game.

Which is why I'd be glad for any suggestion people have for improvement.

I was thinking maybe a weekly game that people could sign up for in advance, or something like that. That might help with getting games going.

Failing that I don't really know. But I'm hoping I can get it rebuilt into something useful for the community.
