Help for feeling like a bad person?
So i'm in a high point non-WTA gunboat, and everyone is playing a top notch game, we are able to communicate using support holds, etc. But then I stab my ally for SCs and profit. I feel sort of bad about it, because i'm essentially stealing a lot of points from somebody that was nice enough to play with me.

How can I feel better about myself in these circumstances?

“In a time in which Communist regimes have been rightfully discredited and yet alternatives to neoliberal capitalist societies are unwisely dismissed, I defend the fundamental claim of Marxist theory: there must be countervailing forces that defend people’s needs against the brutality of profit driven capitalism.”

Minor 'bug'
I stumbled on a very minor bug yesterday. If I have an army in Ruhr, supporting fleet in Belgium to hold, but I change that to support holding an army in Holland, it says: "Army Ruhr support hold to fleet Holland". Should this be fixed?

Hello, I have an idea for a game. The gameID=58416 is set up with No messaging and anon players. Normally the rule is not to discuss ongoing games in the forum, but here, this will be the point of the game. (I got this idea from the dark press game)

Pretty much that's it. A Button that copys you actual orders to the clipboard as plain text so you can post it in your chats.

"Most Dangerous city in the world"
A friend of mine just came back from a pub quiz, which they won. The prize of £150 all came to the final question, "If Baghdad is the most dangerous city in the world, where is second?"
What answers would you have given and why?

I will be willing to share, but I am also willing to drive in from the surrounding towns. I'm doing Friday as a tourist day, so I'm not sure what my plan is for Friday evening yet.

I'm still hoping to get some good hotel suggestions/recommendations if any of you other travelers have any.

also if there is interest in shared rooms.

I would much prefer to stay within one mile of the venue if possible

I'm not familiar with hotels because I always stay with friends, but I'd suggest going to the MIT website and see what hotels the recommend for parents.

Babak, I'm staying here: http://kendallhotel.com/

Real close, looks cool, and about the same cost as others near by, though the taxes really bump up the cost. Anyway, I pre-paid for a cheaper rate and got the single queen bed room that doesn't even have room for a cot, so I'm locked in as a single. Good luck finding a place!

Anyone else want to share a room 30 min away? I found a travel-lodge in Bedford (1 Queen = $59/night, 2 doubles = $69/night). I will be willing to share to keep costs quite low, otherwise I will book the 1 Queen room. I plan to book in the next couple of days, so if you are interested please PM me.
Babak (26982 D(B))
10 May 11 UTC
I'd share a room joey, but since I don't plan on renting a car, I'd rather get something within walking distance. I am guessing you'd not be interested in that since you're bringing a car and parking will be hard for you right?
Babak (26982 D(B))

Does everyone else already have a place to stay? no one is interested in sharing a hotel room within walking distance?

Why not ride in each day with Joey? Or do you plan on partying every night? <grin>
joey1 (198 D)
10 May 11 UTC
You can ride in with me. I will either have my 8-passenger van or a car that I rent from Ottawa to drive in. The only issue will be meeting up Friday evening and that I plan to go to the 8:00 AM mass at St. Mary of the Annunciation (near the playing site) on Sunday morning. I don't think parking will be that hard to find on a weekend. (I may have to pay for it though) Most of the downtown hotels you have to pay extra for parking anyway, so I might as well drive in.

I actually found even a slightly less expensive hotel. A motel6 right off I-90. (Although you have to pay extra for WI-FI here)

I have a 1994 Mercury Sable. Much more awesome than a Ferrari. But if you want a ride, I'll have to take the carseat out. There may even be a snack or two hiding under it, so you can eat while you marvel.

@SD - I didn't know any of them were still on the road. You have a classic there, my friend.

But seriously, if you know what the CR-Z is, you know it is just a sporty looking 2-seat hybrid. Sure, it has a whopping 122 HP (108 in the engine and 14 in the electric motor) and is small, lightweight, and handles really well, but I'm buying it for the almost 40 MPG it gets on the highway. It'll cut my daily commute costs in half.

CHEATERS!! can the GMs verify?
I am not confident that France and England are different players in "The Return of the Conqueror" game
Can a fleet in English Channel that belongs to England support a french army in Bel if they do not talk to each other or "is" the same player?
This makes the confidence in this site VERY LOW!

Forum issue: timestamps
I've just noticed that there's (something that's potentially) an error in the timestamps on the forum. The stamps shouldn't specify the day/date/month when that date is not *today*, but in fact they don't specify when the post was created within the last 24 hours. Perhaps this was intentional, but when I see a timestamp reading 03:00 PM, even if it's actually 2:30 PM, I don't immediately realise that it was yesterday. Issue or not?
