Technical Issues in World Diplomacy Game
In http://www.webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=47406 it appears that the convoy feature is broken. Of the 4 players left in the game, 3 of us encounter errors when we try to submit orders to convoy a unit and are unable to access the feature.

Is there a way to repair this without breaking the game?

Explain why these moves work
Germany: F Sweden to Norway, A STP S F Sweden to Norway, F GoB to Sweden.
England: F Norway to Sweden (fail) (dislodged)

There was other stuff happening too, but the relevant question is: why did GoB succeed in getting to Sweden if Norway was going there too?

Jumbo and Memilio BANNED
Thank you, finally! I had seen this coming ages ago and avoided his games. Trip and I had had a good private discussion about this one. He has just, presumably also been banned from a 200 D game, he was clearly building up points with Memilio, his other account.

First of all I want to make clear my commitment to the game is to do at least a commentary for each game year, and I am trying to do this, but real life sometimes get preference.

1905

This was a really interesting year. We saw the first country to say goodbye (Austria) and another one that are alive just by accident (Russia). Also, Italy did a interesting move, he seems to be moving West and then he strike his old pal Turkey. Will this work? I don´t know. Turkey is a hard nut to crack and have the time on his side. If the fight took to long France or Germany will walk into Italy´s back. But in the West things are blur too. Germany were not able to hold War and with no builds while France is walking into England the balance is changing on France´s direction. England is slowly going down, but while alive there is still hope.

Individual Analisys

England - Humm, England keep StP and Norway, but it´s really unlikely he will be able to keep both next year. On the other side, Germany advancing to EC and Bur could make France less likely to advance over Nor and Lon. But I think England´s faith now depends only on how much help Germany can´t give him.

France - France keeps taking England centers and the Italy move on Turkey put him in a much better position. But losing EC and Bur could be a problem, even with a build. Also, the build will be a hard choice between Par and Bre, as he will need to cover both next turn. I think an alliance with Italy is forming, but this could lead to an G/T alliance and it will be interesting to see who will win on that.

Germany - Germany take Mos in Spring, but lose it on the Fall. One could say this is a useless move, but it was helpfull to keep England with StP at least for another year. Also, Germany need to find an ally on the East, it could be either Italy or Turkey, both have his pro´s and con´s but Turkey seems more natural at this point. Also, keeping England alive is becoming harder, but it could pay back if France start to lose some space.

Italy - Italy did a really interesting move, he pointed to a move to the West and then stabbed his ally Turkey. I don´t know if this was the right moment, but it can´t de denied that moving to the West will make really easy to Turkey to march into Italy´s centers. But I think this move should have been stronger, taking either Ser or Gre to not allow a Turkish build. Vie will still be there to be taken next year. Also, now it´s a matter of time, as the one who wins on the West will move after him. So allying with France or Germany (or even both) should be the first task.

Austria - Goodbye mate, hope you have learnt a lot on this game.

Turkey - Turkey did a clever move taking Mos an leaving Sev for the next year. He would have a build and another one in the pocket and even War is on his reach for next year. And then came the bad news: Italy is doing a sneaky move into EM and seems to be heading to the East. Turkey can´t probably defend all his centers and also a late Lepanto for next year without some luck, but if he can make at least some peace with Germany I think he could give Italy a hard time.

Russia - Russia is alive just by accident. But should be going after Austria in the end of the year, unless he managed to get some support to take StP. But I don´t really believe on that, as Turkey will have to focus south and Germany need to keep working with England.

I also feel like my commentary are not being read or usefull as I got no comments. I know the players on the game are not supposed to write here, but no one is looking at this game? I think this makes the School part of the game a little limited.

I think it has lost interest because it was so disjointed with pauses in the beginning. Hopefully at least the participants will get something out of it though. And many thanks to rdrivera for continuing to comment.

Question about Italy, why would he help Turkey advance WHILE stabbing him? would it not be more efficient to have let Germany (Turkeys adversary) get into Galacia so he could help with the attack? unrelated follow-up, what are the proffeseurs thoughts on keeping small yet dying countries alive in this time of the game? is it better to use your units elsewhere and let them help you, or capture those units in order to be positive of their motives?

First will answer mongoose questions:
I think Italy supported the move to Gal because it put that unit far from the front, if it stays on Rum it can support Bul, hit Ser and on Gal if won´t do much harm.
About keeping small countries alive, I think sometimes it´s the best option to do a try for a solo, specially if you can push their units ahead of a possible stalemate line.

Will try to do a full commentary before the turn ends.

I am with no time to do a full commentary as real life tasks and too many games at a time are just overwhelming now, but I just want to say that the Turkish genious is out of the bottle and it will be really hard to put him back into it.
Also, I really like France move into Holl and Germany screwed big time, he should have taken NS with EC supported by Den, while Gob cover Swe, this will make sure Holl is safe and also give him a shot to take some English centers.
Now the solo dream is over and if I was him I would be begging for France´s friendship and forgiveness to be able to stop Turkey/Italy. We could even see a late WT if we have a good diplomat in the West to make it happen....
Italy has also a dilemma, he can expand only to the West, but how to do that with a monster in your back? The builds and disbands will tell a lot, but I expect more yellow to flood into Europe.
I was about to say, what is going wrong with western Europe? It seems as the Italian stab was a decoy, but why would Italy consider to help Turkey without covering himself? turkey could sweep over him at any moment. I would think now is the time Germany and France make up, knock out England and Russia, and start for the stalemate lines

Cheater!
frankfitzer in gameID=105443 is quite obviously cheating!
I would like this game cancelled and frankfitzer banned along with all those who do not follow the rules of the game and the site forum!

It is terrible that someone would register at this site and not follow forum and game rules, they just ruin the experience for everyone!

The Prince
Quotations taken from gradesaver.com....

Our friend Niccolo M. says that there are two possible power bases for a prince: the nobility, and the common people. But he goes on to say the following: “In fact the aim of the common people is more honest than that of the nobles, since the nobles want to oppress others, while the people simply want not to be oppressed.”
