Technical Issues in World Diplomacy Game

In http://www.webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=47406 it appears that the convoy feature is broken. Of the 4 players left in the game, 3 of us encounter errors when we try to submit orders to convoy a unit and are unable to access the feature.

Is there a way to repair this without breaking the game?

Explain why these moves work

Germany: F Sweden to Norway, A STP S F Sweden to Norway, F GoB to Sweden.
England: F Norway to Sweden (fail) (dislodged)

There was other stuff happening too, but the relevant question is: why did GoB succeed in getting to Sweden if Norway was going there too?

Question about game mechanics

What does the cancel button do? Does that allow me to quit a game and what happens to my country if I quit?

Cancel requires all the tensing players in the game to end it. It's as if it never happened. Quiting is considered bad form and ruins the game for the rest of the players. If you quit games on the site, people will refusevto play with you.

Thanks for the info. I agree, it is bad form. I have a fellow player that is thinking of quitting. Just wanted to know what his options are. If a player doesn't submit orders is he out of the game?

If he's definitely off it would be better to email the mods at [email protected] and ask them to put him into CD so someone can take over before the game is spoilt.

Thanks, that's a good idea. I'll see of I can turn this guy around but that might be the final option.

If he doesn't go to the game screen for two consecutive phases in which he has orders to submit, he goes into CD and someone can take over for him. But this usually affects the game.

Poor form player

Details to come later but a certian player just refused to draw/cancel the game when his neighbor went into CD in the first year while all the other players voted for Draw/Cancel

Thank you, finally! I had seen this coming ages ago and avoided his games. Trip and I had had a good private discussion about this one. He has just, presumably also been banned from a 200

game, he was clearly building up points with Memilio, his other account.

Cheater!

frankfitzer in gameID=105443 is quite obviously cheating!
I would like this game cancelled and frankfitzer banned along with all those who do not follow the rules of the game and the site forum!

It is terrible that someone would register at this site and not follow forum and game rules, they just ruin the experience for everyone!
