It is very unfortunate that an experienced long-time player is being blamed in public. To me it looks just like he has invited friends to try the game on-line. There simply doesn't seem to be motive for anything else. Please note that they have bet only 10 each. If Orathaic wanted to pump up his stats, wouldn't he bet the full 100 instead?

And besides, he has a history of dozens of games where he has exchanged thousands of messages and achieved remarkable success. This player certainly doesn't look like a typical cheater.

OK I just looked that the original game, to see what all the fuss was about. The first thing I noticed is that LJ TYLER DURDEN had not joined the game.

So I got to ask, do you have nothing else better to do then analyze all new games looking for Multi Accounts?

LJ you need to get out of the house a little more.

@snelly - Maybe he just wanted to look at on going games to analyze or it was still in the joinable game list when he came across it.

I appreciate the Monty Python reference as much as everyone else but you can't say especially in a game like this that such an accusation is off the wall. I never took orthalic to be a multi and would think it's suspicious and everyone suggests friends but what are the odds of having so many friends into this type of game? Low, so yeah, suspicions follow and I don't assume multi but I won't knock someone else for wanting to bring it to attention and gain clairty on a first impression. At least he didn't spew names and multi and omg bans

What you say is somewhat fair. It only makes sense to look at who is playing before you join a game.

My point is if you don’t like the look of it, don’t join. It is rather rude and childish of LJ to come running to the board and basically slandering someone that they don’t know. Remember no one likes a tattle tale.

hey, just noticed this because someone told me in one of my other games.

i've been trying to find people to play this ame, (only gotten 6 so far, can't convince a 7th friend) so it looks like the game will not go through :( but i'm still trying... )

that website is for another game where i am an admin and have to deal with multi's so i appreciate all the work that goes into finding and hunting them. But there are also many people there who i play with in this other game (called Colony-wars as it happens, hence the name of the game i set up)

I've also tried previously to get real-life friends to play, but only got 5. I'm terribly sorry that i haven't managed to get any of these games played, i think it would be a lot of fun to play against a group of friends who are you already know (and i've played risk with a lot of my real-world friends, so it's be nice to be betraying them in dip for a change...)

Also since som of my friends live/work in Japan now i can't just get them to come around and play at a board... This site seems perfect.

As for my points, i got most of them from two or three games which is did well in (i survived a game with dangermouse... that was a lot of fun, ithink i'd like another high point game.... they are a lot of fun - like the single league game i'm playing...)

I couldn't disagree more. LJ saw a suspicious looking game and brought it to the attention of the community, just as he should have. He didn't post the name or the game in the opening thread; in fact, it was I who first posted Orathaic's name.

I don't think LJ did anything wrong and I think you're just trying to pick a fight.

I must apologize to LJ, for falsely accusing them for actual posting Orathaic’s name on the board. That was left to another busybody with nothing better to do. 

But seriously, if LJ truly had a problem with the make up of the game in questions then LJ should have gone right to the mods, or asked how to report their suspicions to the ‘powers that be’ for this site. Then the mods can deal with any offenders and where warranted alert the community.

Otherwise these situations can turn into a witch hunts. For example abgemacht and Sayjo both disagree with me and agree with LJ; therefore they must be the same person. I want an investigation into these three as they could a Multi.

Now the mods know this statement is not true, but hey I have done my duty and brought it to the attention of the community. 

By outing people you run the risk of driving decent people from this site.

I wonder if Orathaic has received any private messages of apology from the accusers.

If he doesn't provide a game ID and names, the accusation cannot be investigated. If he *does*, he risks starting a witch hunt and useless speculation.

Thanks for the word of advice Snelly. I WAS going to join the game and then I noticed it was one experianced player with a lot of noobs. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, chances are it's a duck, so I didn't join. In response to your original insult I would say I get out quite a lot as I play rugby and am not a fat pasty loser who takes out his pent-up agression on forum chats.
To Sys_Error I say that he could very well have been betting low to keep under the RADAR. No one looks back at the game that got him 35 but they might at the one that got him 350.
If it turns out my accusation was false then I humbly apologize to Orathaic for any damage done to his reputation. In my defense it did look like a duck (no Monty Python pun intended, see metaphor above) and I was only trying to get rid of multi-accounters.

Also, I tip my hat to abgemacht. Thanks for seeing my post as what it was.

And to Mack Eye: What you say certainly has merit. I probably should have but I'm still a fairly new player and wouldn't know how to go about contacting the mods so I used the only outlet available to me.
