Achtung!

This game has been paused for the past six months or so and everyone but the person yet to unpause is still willing to play if there is anyway you could start that up for us again it would be really great.

I have received a total of about 15 messages from ottovanbis about his live game that he desperately wants me to join, despite me messaging him politely saying that I'm not interested in live games right now. He then sent me a message with the link pasted over and over in one line, so that it messed up the formatting of my home page.

I know you don't like writing anti-dumbass code, but it would be really nice if my home page were usable right now.

Maybe a feature to delete a single notification from your home page would work.

Furthermore, (and I know this is spiteful) but can you simply refuse to fix his game that crashed? I feel fairly certain that the majority on the site will support this... ;-)

He kept hijacking threads to promote the game, even after he was asked to stop.

I enjoy a casual live game just as much as the next bloke, but I don't want the forum (and worse my private messages) infected with this advertisement plague.

ONE thread promoting your live game, when people join, they should bump the thread once. That's all that's needed.

What do you mean by gone? If this guy wanted to make another account he probably could. That's pointless. You should see if he stops first, I think, then boot him, and make some better messaging restrictions.

Banned. And yes, they can create a new account, but usually, banning works pretty well. See also: Diplofool.

Pause in league games

in both our league games texasdeluxe asked for pause. There was still 1 player to vote 1/2 hours ago. Now all votes dissapeared and there is no pause. Can a mod check it and pause please?

How is the "Pause" feature supposed to work?

Assuming that all players voted to pause a game in the Autumn during the diplomacy phase and some players have not finalized their orders and there are 6 hours left until the end of the phase, what would be the expected results?
