I am not a troll, I just wanted to know what the definition was so that I am not accused of this without knowing what is was.

Trolling: The action of taunting, annoying or bothering trolls at the early hours of morn before the sun has risen. Primarily the troller would attempt to lure the said troll into an area that is immediately illuminated at sunrise, thus turning him to stone so that he is vulnerable to further pranks.

I always liked Bilbo's version of trolling. Get the trolls to argue about how to cook you until the sun catches them by surprise and turns them to stone so you can escape.

Trolling brings lulz. Lulz is a good reason to do anything. Draw your own conclusions.

Trolling is just attention seeking for the sake of it. Sometimes players post meaningless dribble just annoy other players (or because it amuses them for reasons known only to themselves); at other times trolls pretend to have a controversial opinion about a subject - and not even because they are interested in the debate, they just want the attention.

The secret to a community dealing with trolls is not worry about it. If you think someone is trolling and it bothers you - just ignore the message. This why they say "don't feed the trolls". Alas this would appear to be something that a lot of people on this site don't seem to understand (despite the fact that this forum is smarter than your average forum).

I would say that this forum is book-smart, but perhaps not street-smart.

If experience with trolls on the internet can in any way be equivilated with 'street'. :P

Interesting that your word isn't in the dictionary but mine is. That being said, mine is also the wrong word. Yours is, however, in the "Urban Dictionary" and used correctly in it's slang form. The real wording should have been "...can in any way be the equivalent of 'street'."
