In all honesty, Helmethead really lucked out with that France. diplomats builds weren't so good, but he played an average game from what I saw.

I dunno, I expected the Diplomat from playdip to be better at Diplomacy. Our very own diplomat2000 doesn't exactly have an enviable record... Plus I feel that any attempted sabotage of this sort would quickly result into a conversion to phpDip after they realize how much prettier things look and how you don't have to pay.

Friendly - in my case I'm not paranoid, I just wondered. It does seem rather harsh so many people complain and say its sabotage, and I just was interested to know if any of them had followed it up

I've gotta say, I'm honored to have my first directed post in the forums. And yes, I really, really got lucky that the French NMR'd and CD'd. I'd like to say my diplomacy caused it... but I doubt that's the case.

What you don't see on the boards is my part in setting up the I/T/G alliance that's currently sweeping the board. A condition of that Alliance is the elimination of E so that we can /draw.

As much as time heals all wounds, and I can't really fault E for keeping me out of Holland the first turn, and putting me at the mercy of the French...

I can't let down my Turkish and Italian allies. Tell you what, if Turkey and Italy /draw while England is still alive, I'll /draw. Otherwise...

I'm not (very) worried about what folks would think in the forums, I'm just saying that it's up to my 2 allies as much as it is up to me. And if they both voted for a /draw, then why would I risk their anger by finishing off England. Conversely, if they wanted England dead, why would I risk their anger (and prolong the game, possibly being eliminated myself) by letting England live?

The terms of my deal will not change. If ValHelmethead leaves me alone, and the game draws, then I will never post in the Forum again.

Any cheap excuse just to bash the PD's. Our diplomat is a conservative and theirs is a liberal plus their posts aren't similar at all.
