Asking a question with the word girls in it isn't sexist. Saying the word black isn't racist. Stop over reacting, people. Seriously.

In my experience, most board game geeks are male. Asking if there are women playing isn't sexist, it just shows you've been around board game geeks before.

If this was a site for an activity that was female dominated, and someone asked if there were men on the site, that would not be sexist either.

All of this over reaction is part of the problem - every time you point the finger and yell sexist! racist! over nothing, you minimize the situations in which actual sexism is happening.
