The audience that lifts you when you're down "

Are there any other thespians on the site? Lovers of the stage, or perhaps actors or actresses? Directors, choreographers, stage crew, or technical crew?

to admin: orders glitch
Hello, in 'This is why I have no money' -- I (Turkey) ordered 2 retreats; RUM to Bulgaria; BUD to Serbia, and the orders received were both to SERBIA, so both units were disbanded. Is this just something I have to deal with or is there any rectification?

New person question
How do I get the orders option to show up on a turn. Game says its in the retreat phase but I can't put orders in and the deadline keeps getting closer. Already missed 1 turn because of this.

Western Triangle vs Eastern Square?
Lets talk about Strategy...

I'm mostly going to reject the notion of two separate areas of conflict, and instead focus on four overlapping areas.

So Dave is Darth Vader?

Of course. Dave is the hero.

The Green Party analogy doesn't quite work, of course, because there's no way the Millennium Falcon would have passed its emissions test and been allowed to fly.

Bad news, Greensters! His high exaltedness, the Great Russell the Brand, has decreed not only that you should now not not vote, but you should not not vote for Labour and not not not vote Green unless you live in Brighton.

I live in Oklahoma, so your British Politics confuse me
Octavious (2701 D)
04 May 15 UTC
It's quite simple, really.

The British people dictate where the centre of British politics is, and the major parties all try to be as close to the centre as possible. This annoys the hell out of the voting public, who would much prefer for one major party to be in the centre (for them to vote for and feel like the right choice), and the other to be miles away from the centre (for them to feel good about not voting for). Some voters get so annoyed by the lack of a major out of touch party to not vote for that they end up voting for a minor extreme party in the hope that they will grow into something bigger that they can happily not vote for in the future.

Sandman - British politics is easy, we all vote and then we all get some form of government that nobody wanted.

As an aside Ed Miliband has said he won't join with the only Party, SNP, that are likely to be able prop him up and David Cameron has said he won't lead a government that won't hold a EU referendum which his main partner, LibDems are opposed to. I wonder if anyone actually wants to be PM right now.
TrPrado (461 D)
04 May 15 UTC
I would love to be PM. Sadly, I won't ever be in Parliament, so that's not happening.
Octavious (2701 D)
04 May 15 UTC
Why on Earth would anyone want to be PM? You work ridiculously long hours, get judged on things that aren't your fault, and at the end of it all every one hates you.

The Lib Dems could work with the Tories again as long as the Tories have more seats than Labour. They will almost certainly agree to the referendum under the belief that the UK will vote to stay in.

Mathematically speaking a Labour minority remains the most likely option (possibly with LibDems in a coalition, but I doubt it) but my gut is still saying a LibCon coalition will win the day. A Tory minority would be less than ideal, but is an outside option along with new elections.
KingCyrus (511 D)
04 May 15 UTC
I will happily accept all votes for PM. However, somehow, I don't think I'll get any. Nor do I think that is possible....

I CAN DREAM

I predict that Green shall win a majority of seats IF AND ONLY IF Maniac is chosen as their leader. That would be a wonderful boast for webDip, don't ya think?

Great map joke
I'm currently playing on the "Fall of the American Empire" map for the first time, and I love that the Bermuda Triangle is shaped like a triangle. It's also fun that so many of the US states retain their actual shapes. Well done, Mous and Jensen.

Tournament Games and Wait for Orders
So. I have competed in several tournaments over the last few weeks, including League, 10-man and 5-man tournaments. Why aren't all tournament games automatically set to prevent NMRs and allowing swap outs so that the strategic balance is not upset?

Russian metal
Have you ever hear russian metal groups? For example, "Aria" (russ. "Ария"), "Epidemy" (russ. "Эпидемия"), "Black Obelisk" (russ. "Чёрный Обелиск"). If you have, what do you think about them? Has Russia presentable metal or no?
