Maybe I'm being over sensitive...
But there seems to be a fair bit of misogyny in some posts. All in jest, but still, some posts that are misogynistic in nature. I'm curious as to whether there would be so many if there were more women on the site.

English Writing Skills Thread
Discuss skills that help you write good prose and poetry.

I'll start:
If you are trying to write an argumentative piece, it helps a lot to be concise. A long-winded piece that just says the same thing in ten different ways just leads readers astray.

Sandbox
I used to play on an online diplomacy site that had a sandbox. Is it possible to get one on this site, even if just for classic. I looked on the todo list and saw nothing in reference to it.

Obiwan where are you?!
I just finished watching Joss Whedon's production of Much Ado About Nothing and wanted to learn if you had seen it and what your impression was if you had. I quite enjoyed it and felt it was, at the least, comparable to Branagh's version.

Dead Children = Liberal Compassion
Truth in Action - One of the brilliant ideas of Libtards is "open borders"...it's compassionate. Everyone deserves blah blah blah. Yeah, but there are CONSEQUENCES: ** Dead CHILDREN on the shores of the Rio Grande **

how to play Italy, france, and germany
All other countries have been done so i've decided to make a thread for the last 3 to hopefully make it so that there won't be any more on this topic. (though i am at fault for one of them)

What are "agreed hypothetical facts"
There is a case going on in the UK about whether our surveillance service have broken any laws. As they can't confirm or deny what they have done the case is proceeding based on "agreed hypothetical facts". Is this bending the language too far?

your spring 1901 moves should be aggressive and boastful. Ally with other males in the surrounding area and use them to make yourself more appealing to an alliance with Blonde.

Keep in mind Blonde is usually played by a not as quick and sometimes dumb person. So negotiations with blonde should be done with the utmost precaution. keeping in mind Blonde may unknowingly alliance with another male in the area and leave you without an ally. The best action to take upon this unfortunate event is to strike Blonde harder than you ever did to make her wish she had never left. Unlike other diplomacy nations; blonde likes to get pounded by consecutive assaults on her rear. Flanking, while too long a word for her to read or spell, is by far her favorite way to go down. Going down is also a strategy blonde may use to build up the alliance.

try opening with the boston strangler.

Also on the rare occasion you go down to the blonde be prepared to focus your energy in one particular location to cause a moment of opening for you to gain the upper hand and eventually retake her rear and begin the pounding again. You should have Blonde eliminated by spring 1908 and can move on to Brunette, who has been watching and wondering why you bothered allying with Blonde in the first place.

most importantly: don't go for the solo. a three-way should be what you're shooting for.
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
14 Jul 14 UTC
If you can convince Brunette to do said 3-way it should make for an enjoyable game.

If at all possible, if negotiations seem to be failing, try to sneak around and get her from the backside. She'll certainly be surprised

I prefer the Key(hole) Lepanto opening, where you skip the straightforward attack and head straight for her backdoor.

It's important to remember that Brest is one of her most important supply centers. Give it some attention, but be sure to spend most of your time using the strategies suggested above.
Kallen (1157 D)

Great advice for how to go in for the kill so far, but nobody's mentioned the most important thing to be wary of. Do everything in your power to avoid the friend zone. Once the dreaded friend zone occurs, the blonde will all of a sudden have 5 times more units than you, therefore cockblocking every move you attempt to make. Has been said to be worse than being banned.

Playing a hot blonde is very much like making the perfect cup of coffee. It's got to be really hot. You've got to take your time. You've got to stir... gently and firmly. You've got to grind your beans until they squeak. And then you put in the milk.

But, most importantly, you should NEVER talk to her about your involvement in this forum and this game ;-)
krellin (80 DX)

Keep in mind, the blonde will tell you she loves you to get what she wants...but she's really diddling your buddy one door over.
