Magnavox Micromatic Cabinet Record Player
So, I bought a Magnavox Micromatic Cabinet Record Player circa 1968 at Goodwill today. I've never been a huge audiophile but this is still one of the best purchases I've ever made. I'm particularly impressed I was able to plug it in after more than 40 years and have it work right away.

Automatic Cancel
How come games that start with less than 7 players don't automatically cancel? If 2 or more countries don't even show up in a live game why does the system allow it be voted on? It seems like the countries that can get an immediate jump have no incentive to cancel.

Facebook Parenting, Or, How His Daughter Learned to Stop Bitching and Respect Her Parents
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kl1ujzRidmU
I was a right shit to my parents at times at 15, especially my father, sure, who isn't as a teenaged boy...but if I'd EVER done or said what she did, I'd have been parented and HOW...and I'd NEVER post something that disrespectful on Facebook like that...but--her father works for Information Technology, and she did that and thought it was smart? Good for him, I say, good parenting...agree?

Although I'm not doing so well in the second stage, I must say I've enjoyed this tournament immensely and the level of play has been excellent. It gave me the chance to learn from the best. I would like to thank everyone taking part in the tournament and special thanks to Geofram for taking the time to run it! I hope you will have the energy to organize another one next year!

Thanks, JesusPetry! I enjoyed the game a lot, both the play and the result ;)

I thought prolonging the game wouldn't hurt cosidering other matches were still running and 4-way was unacceptable given my shitty previous leg 2 performance. Nevertheless, I would've drawn in 1914 since that was the year where it would be clear the opposition was rock solid but luckily, Italy pulled the trigger in 1913 so there was still something to play for. I made stupid mistakes along the way (like no orders in Fall 14 and convoy misorders) but perhaps they paid off in the end IF they helped to convince Russia to give up the hope of drawing. Crucial was Spring 16 when Italy didn't followed to Piedmont and Fall 16 when Spain and Wes Med weren't Turko-Russian at once, that would've made the situation there a guesswork, with me making a mistake resulting in a draw.

Also, gameID=68342 finished in a 4-way. Congratz The Czech, AlexNesta, Trooth and Ursa. Now it's clear what I meant by my shitty perfromance ;)

Congrats for the win ulytau, really deserved. I make so many mistakes in this game that I need to apologize specially with Troo and Alex.
On my behalf I can say I know I need at least a 3-way to advance in the tournamento, so I did a try and if I have moved to Pie in the right moment it could have ended in a 3-way.
JesusPetry (258 D)
08 Dec 11 UTC
Sorry about not mentioning all the players. I just wanted to keep it short.
Trooth (561 D)
08 Dec 11 UTC
Ursa, that was well played. You did exactly what i feared you would do and turn inland. I knew if england didnt take you out earlier, you would have a great shot because we couldnt afford to let Austria continue to roll. I would like to thank the czech for showing mercy and accepting the draw before england eliminated me.
