Startign game one on Sunday is aproblem for me. Because it means I get bumped out of the games. :-(

Set Draugnar up as an additional host of G2 then, the whole premise of this is that it's not a 'true' GR Challenge anyway.

That, or let Draugnar and the new #7 in his game slug it out... but it's almost certainly unjustifiable to argue that effectively forcing the withdrawal of the #2 player in what was (is?) set up as the highest-GR game in site history so that another player in a separate game can get the matchup he wants, when it's very feasible for him to negotiate his way into the matchup he wants anyway.

And I agree. Babak should be in game 1. I would have just withdrawn rather than see him sit out.

And my issues wuth game three were that I was the only top 100 GR player in that game *and* I wasn't going to get to play with one of the three hosts or Cachimbo. I had really only signed up to get to play at least one of them.

Before everyone dropping out of this to appease you, game 3 looked like it would have some real good competition, at one time there were two players rated above you I believe. You are effectively ruining my chances of playing against better competition by complaining Draug.

Guys, I do not intend to hold up these set of games. I'm joining because MM and Balarin personally asked and because it looked like it could be a fun game... now it looks even better.

However, I'm traveling for 4 days during the holidays and would not want to start a game exactly at the time when I could not engage in robust diplomacy. If you all are willing to keep this open or even close it off but start on Sunday, i would welcome the chance to play you all. If it can't wait, I think its better if you had a player that could actually get online and talk during the critical first two seasons.

@Dan - There is only one person who dropped out and that was because he would have been playing with a Real Life friend as well, Cachimbo. I will happily drop out of game 2 and join game 3 if Cachimbo will, but he won't play in game three for the same reason I won't. You all are way below our GR. I'm a top 100 GR and Cachimbo even higher. The next player below me (in rank) is 50 spots below and then it drops to nearly a hundred spots with the bottom of the list being around 700 spots below me. Get another top 100 or two in the game so it is all in the top 200 and I'll play. But I'm not playing players below the top 200 or 250.

Damn, why does work have to get in the way of organizing diplomacy games...

Okay, I made Draugnar a host of game two, and I also put jmo back on the list since he stepped down so Draugnar could play. I left the game one I created, I will recreate it so Babak can join on Sunday. Balaran, I jumped the gun a bit, not sure if you want to cancel that game you started, so we can wait and see who will join, looks like we do have a bit of interest still trickling in? Any other thoughts, people?

I like being in game two, but can leave if warranted (or cancel anything if necessary).

It would probably be best to cancel game two at this point, but I'll let Balaran deal with that, his call.

Anyway, we're still accepted interested people, put your name on the list per October GR and bump people down the list that are not hosting.

Hey, Draugnar, since I pulled together two games for Balaran, I'm feeling a bit guilty for not pulling two together for slyster. I told him our rematch would wait, to insure he comes back to the site, but I'm not really here to blackmail anyone, so I'm thinking of crossing that off my To Do List right now. How about a non-anon game with you, me, slyster and some other "representative" / "fun" people from the site? I'm trying my hardest to get Crazyter to play, but she's wanting a break, so not sure I can land her, but she would obviously be a top choice. What do you think? Any other ideas for who else should join us? How about hellalt?! :-)

MadMarx- FTR- I won't leave the site. As I specified, that will be my last game for a while, but my answer after EoG was purely reactional to the ending, and you most probably know that anyways now ; )
