Well we are all here to have fun so if someone wants to join they should and if someone particularly wants to play with someone else they should be accomodated if possible.

The problem with sacrificing someone like Salamanser instead of me is we would need 2 replacements instead of one so I'm the logical target.

I think all of us want to play the better players so getting bumped down sucks but it's my own fault for not being good enough to have a higher rating :) So if djbent or anyone else wants to join I think you should

Since I'm lower ranked, I think it should be obvious that I'd be bumped from the game. Me and Rait can always start another game, if he's ok with that.

Actually I just checked and if both flashman and djbent join game 5 then game 6 will have the pleasure of Stripy and djbent rather than Friendly Sword.

flash, I would be very much for a game with only top ten rated players, or something very close, you know me well! Feel free to organize it, in a different thread or whatever... I can Favre retire for a few months after that game!

I think that the answer to your 1st question is no, but I have already made my point, not gonna talk about it again.

I don't think djbent and flashman are in the mood to join though, so game 5 should, probably, get started.

I'm starting to like the look on game 6, when did we say we were going to start?

I suggested we start game 6 at midnight Sunday GMT (to give The General time to join) or if The General got booted off the bottom then straight away.

In answer to Troodonte; I don't really understand why Rait would get booted to game 6 when he's ranked #4. Anyway. I don't really care too much. I just want to play an interesting game with some other players roughly in my skill level with some decent diplomacy.

Well, I made my point about the ratings and games some posts above, please read if you don't understand what I meant. I think it is clear and makes sense!
(just a quick help. the point here is not Rait but salmanaser and stripy. Salmanaser has lower rank than stripy so he should be bumped if there's a need for a bump. If rait wants to stay in the same game as salmanaser he must go after him, not the contrary... )

alright guys - i'm going to make a ruling... I've read all the briefs and here is what I say...

Rait is the one that said he wanted to play in a game with Sal... so if another player (flash or djbent) comes in, then Sal+Rait will be dropped to game 6 and Troodonte gets moved up to game 5.

but seeing as how flash and djbent are not interested... and seeing how this thread has been up for 3-4 days without any response, I say you guys set a deadline of noon EST (or 5pm GM - about 5:30 hours form this post) and create the game.

and to both texas and troo... I think you guys are doing a great job of taking initiative and discussing this matter in a very cordial way... I commend you both =) good luck in your respective games...

I'm happy to wait until The General gets back after the weekend to start game 6 if everyone else currently in game 6 is.

I know djbent wants to play Rait, but if she has the paused games blues and wants to settle for game with us in game 6 then I'm sure we all would be honoured to have her. I know she just finished up SoW IV (in which she did very nicely indeed) and I for one would be happy to test myself against her.

Hello, lots of press in between indeed. I do agree with the last post of Babak - if anyone else joins the game 5, I'm more than happy to drop to game 6 together with Salmanaser. I don't have any weird personal attachment to him :) but I'm happy to play another game with him & it may be as well game 6 (as I already dropped myself out from game 4, so it really doesn't matter).

doesn't matter to me who joins what game...as long as we can figure it out by monday or thereabout.

@ orathaic - if either the general or zscheck don't reappear by monday, i'd be glad to have you jump into game 6.
