@Balduran I'm not sure how it's usually done around here, bu early votes in the middle of inconclusive discussion is a) used to apply pressure on a scumread with the hopes that they'll slip or b) bad play. In brainbomb's case, I'd definitely lean towards the latter as he's voted for 5 people so far, and it doesn't really apply any pressure to a player when you let them know "oh, all I have to do is ride this out and he'll switch his vote to the next person who catches his eyes." I will mention that the kind of play you're doing right now where you ask mechanical or strategical questions without ever going into what you think about the current discussions or your reads on people you have a feel for is usually strongly indicative of scum behavior.
@brainbomb, I'm inclined to agree with nearly everything goldie has said so far in your little duel. His statements have been consistent while you yourself have, in fact, been a hot mess, and the only reason I'm not personally accusing you of PR hunting is because I think your interpretation of Balduran is wrong, as previously mentioned. But as I said it would be a piss poor move to lynch either of you day 1, and it's curious to me how you've glossed over this (what I believe to be extremely important) point in favor of mindlessly devolving to vitriol.
Your plays have not been logical this entire game. You've focused on the first and least scummy comment of a player whose response has instantly placed him on my scumdar, rather than the response itself. You hammered civwarbuff (premature, but reasonable imo), unhammered and switched to Balduran on the basis that he's probably not PR, and are now on the most talkative player aside from you and I with unintelligible frothing. Considering how much advice you attempted to dispense to me before the game started, I have a hard time buying that you're actually this bad. And if it turns out that you really are town who suspects goldie of being mafia, all you're doing right now is alienating voters from that bandwagon.
That being said, I must emphasize once again what a terrible idea it would be to vote between you two. We must vote for the lurkers and quiet people, draw them out to conversation and judge between their statements. Otherwise we will enter a stage later in the game where there exist no prior information and no reads on the players, which is decidedly bad for town.
civwarbuff is the obvious lynch, but I'm hesitating on the basis that it's a bit too obvious since I'm operating on the basis that everyone here is at least competent. For this reason I express my mild scum read on Floodgates.
