Krellin is alive and able to post -- so please answer my question: why are you protecting him?

i'm not so much protecting him as i'm trying to focus my energy on active players that i should be able to get responses out of. when all is said and done, right now i would absolutely support a lynch on krellin. but voting for him right now does little to help scum hunt. i'm looking for reactions.

Why would you support a lynch on krellin right now, y2k? The guy hasn't been online at all in fourteen boss, which is most of the game thus far, and he literally hasn't done anything. How can you go from being right to bullshit hedging to protect yourself so quickly? ##VOTE y2k

I've already said that it's potentially petty as well as lazy. If krellin isn't contributing substantially by Day end, I'd support a lynch on him.

But you have been defending him -- even your "I'll confirm this" post, seemingly without a follow up, is scummy.

i'm really not contradicting myself, it's a shame everyone seems to think i am. let me try to state this clearly:

Lurkers deserve to be lynched.
Krellin is lurking and therefore deserves to be lynched significantly more than other players.
However, I'm not going to vote for a lurker with more than 24 hours left to debate because it's lazy and just a place to park your vote, unless you really plan to not stir the waters and challenge the players actually participating.

What doesn't make sense? What am I hedging? krellin said he was on vacation so i assumed he was off the site entirely, but that has been disproven and he was in fact online for some of the first hours of the game, so his lurking is less excusable than i originally thought.

I haven't voted yet either, but now I will ##VOTE Guak. I haven't seen anything that would spark suspicion thus far. Fluminator's end vote is an interesting play, but I'm not sure how much it helps us. Yeah, the discussion COULD generate interesting info, but actually ending just gives us less time to talk, and it doesn't actually increase our chances of hitting scum on the first night, so I would be against voting end at the moment.

Krellin posted before that he wouldn't be on a whole lot on the first day, before the roles were out. So I'd rather put a bit more pressure on him at the moment.

that's fair. but still, no suspicious behavior sticks out to you at all that you'd like to share? that seems scummy to me to not suspect a single active player or have any thoughts to share at all that are discussion-relevant.

And no, as for SUSPICIOUS behavior, not as of yet. I've seen what I think to be a few town indications from a couple people.

thdfrance, apologies. To answer your question: Fluminator and Ghug have voted to end.

Maniac's early claim seems to be very town indicative. It looks like wjessop is playing in the same exact way he did last game. Rapid fire questions that are decently aggressive, when he's got some suspicion. I don't necessarily think thats a scum tell on his part, and I sure do hope he's on our side this game.

I'd be very hesitant to lynch Chaqa so early as well. He gets jumped on a lot for being scummy, but I think its pretty obvious that is just the way he plays. If he is scum, it will be easier to take him out later rather than risk that lynch so early on.

Come on ND - multiple mistakes on the first vote count; you don't want to beat Chaqa for brain slip counts.

Sorry for the periodic posting, I don't have my thoughts all up in Google Drive this early. I'll usually go through the entire first day and take notes on everyone then, and from there on out I start to really keep good notes. I try to not get in the way of my future self day 1, and develop incorrect biases so early on. There really is NOTHING to go on until we see the day 1 lynch result.

Hr 1 - too early to vote for lurkers
Hr 20 - People voting for lurkers are so scummy you would vote for them (Vash)
Hr ?? - Others voting for lurkers isn't considered scummy.
Hr36 - You'd support voting for lurkers who lurked D1

I agree with Maniac that having votes in order of when they were cast is very handy and would be nice in future. Also, capitalising the entire last sentence instead of just the name of the person up for lynch hurts my eyes ;).

Not a huge fan of thd's reads there but there's nothing especially scummy about him. Maniac being town is a very easy read to give, and the Chaqa read wasn't even a read. Would've preferred if he questioned someone who was actually around, rather than lurky guak, though.

Regarding the end thing - whilst the principle is good, I don't support it because it just gives lurky people a free-ride to do absolutely nothing. So I won't be voting end.

I'm happy with my y2k vote still. The flipping between defending and not defending krellin hasn't exactly made him jump up in my town estimations. Sitting on Vashta is also the easiest person to sit around (other than guak/krellin) right now.

Thanks for explaining that ghug. And as far as that line of thought goes, I can support it. It certainly would increase the pressure on any scum with a potential wagon on them. What I am not convinced about is that it won't cast extra suspicion on players that it shouldn't and if the potential wagons are on innocents it puts even less pressure on the scum early on. It seems like a reckless strategy without any reliable rewards to me.
