I second the motion for a mod (if possible) to change the group C deadlines to 36 hours. I'd hate to miss some phases or CD if I can't check in every day.

OK, something has just come up and I would welcome the phases being extended so I'm going to take the narcissistic approach of emailing the mods asking for it to be lengthened (that's what she said...). My real justification is that avoiding NMRs and CDs is more important than keeping the game moving faster. Any objections, please email me at [email protected].

The DCL is specifically designed to help new players learn how to play.

Speaking of which, I feel like I'm the only one giving commentary in the other thread. Do people want me to continue, or does no one care?

I'm writing up commentary now for my games. Will comment on group C as soon as I get links.

This thread needs bumping so I am going to specify how the league will work. Once the groups are done, all the players will be scored and ranked. In a game which was won, each player will score one point for every supply center owned at the end of the game. In drawn games, 35 will be split evenly among all surviving players. This will almost certainly result in decimals which will be rounded to the nearest integer. At this point the two top players in each group, along with the best third ranked player will advance to a final to choose the top n00b. In future seasons we may do more but for now this will be all. Then we will think about what we want to change for next season.

This thread needs to be bumped again so I will bump it. If anyone still wants to join the DCL we would like to expand in future seasons and there's always the possibility of CDs so anyone who meets the criteria of less than 200 total points can join.

Maybe. We'll re-evaluate after this season. I might change the system to be ghost-rating based.
