Slow and Steady (3day-turns, WTA, 50 pts)
This will be my first game start here, if I can actually get it started. I realize 3-day turns are a bit slow for you serious addicts, but think of all the chatting and intrigue you can get done!

Paying someone to stab
In a game I played (gameID=38537), after a lot of profanity, Russia offered everybody else on the global to stab me for money. Nobody has taken him seriously (I hope - although I was the last player to be eliminated by a 2-way draw), but this really bothers me. How would you react? What do you think about this act?

Stabbed Woes
What is your best method to relieve stress when you log on, and find that your good friends have mercilessly stabbed you. My previous method involved drinking my woes away, kicking the dog, and beating my children, but they're starting to tell their friends. Should I just move onto my wife?

What do YOU do to vent your anger?

Is fighting terrorism with extra security good value for money?
In the last 10 years there has only been 1 major terrorist attack on North American soil. - death toll about 3-4 thousand. Is the money spent on stopping further attacks worth it?

The Greatest World Leader of All-Time (And I'm ALREADY Sick of William+Kate! GAH!)
Pretty simple--if you had to choose any past or present world leader to lead your nation--or a new one like, say, Freedonia...Hail, Hail Freedonia!--who would it be? What Kings, Queens, Emperors and Emissaries, Prime Ministers and Presidents have been the greatest in history, and who would you want to LIVE under? We look at the best of the best here (and off-topic, as much as I like the Royal Family in England generally...STOP IT, US NEWS, I DON'T CARE ABOUT A WEDDING YEARS OFF NOW!!!)

HY ROLLERZ 3 EOG

Just noticed that the game ended. Congrats jack klien on the first ever solo in the history of the HY ROLLERZ franchise. Currently, inebriation prevents me from writing a full EOG but from where I sat, Austria was responsible for the solo given that he attacked Italy at a crucial point, letting France grow to the critical mass of 15. Especially since others like me an Germany strived not to give France the winning centers for 17 years it was poor form on austrias part to so blatantly give away the solo. The Czech I still respect you all the same but I think you couldve done some things differently in this game.

I second everything that ava said (except for the inebriation part).

I would add that Austria did excellently earlier in the game. So much so that I decided to stab them, for fear that they would solo. For the rest of the game I wondered how much they held that against me and focused on hurting me rather than stopping France.

Well done, Klein, and lucky.

I was amazed at how many Great Powers seemed to be totally oblivious of the impending solo, and did nothing to mobilize against it.

Just the same, one must execute, and Klein did.

Congratulations.

I was actually shocked to find out who was playing. For the last couple days, I've been telling my (suffering) girlfriend about this game. Something along the lines of "Are they really going to let me do this?"

I'm very grateful to Italy for stopping Austria. I'm well aware that I didn't beat people because I played exceptionally... I won because I/A/T wouldn't (for whatever reason) make common front against me.

Glad I got the solo, but I really do wonder what the hell was going on for the last half of the game... Italy had enough stuff to at least stalemate me west of Italy... I might have been able to get it done with Scandinavia, but the issue would have been up in the air, instead of the nearly foregone conclusion.

gg, all

jcbryan- valiant effort trying to hold the line. I (Turkey) moved away and even abandoned a center once the stalemate line was drawing. When I saw Austria continue to rip into you, I moved back into position in the hopes he'd leave you alone.

@ AVA, you know me, I always play stop the leader, but there was NO indication from Italy that he would make peace. I couldn't find anything in the orders to indicate that he would stop attacking. So the only recourse was spite. It wasn't until France was in Italy that I felt I could head into position to stop France. Then it was too late.

@JCBRAN I looked for a sign that you would bury the hatchet, but no such luck. After the stab when you walked away with 1 build I though for sure that you would try to make peace. No such luck

@Barn I noticed you backed down, then came back. It made me hesitate one turn too long.

good game Jack. Congrats on the win.

How about Syracuse NY for NE gathering
Just looking for a good place for a meeting, what about Syracuse NY as it is fairly central to Ontario and NE US. It is on the junction of I-90 and I-81 and is fairly close for us Canadians.
