Quick question from a beginner.
Is the outcome of this scenario that no one moves or wins a territory?
Unit in territory A supports unit in B to move to C (Player One)
Unit in territory D supports unit in C to move to B (Player Two)
Thanks in advance for any reply to clarify this.

Hot to find a player who played a particular game.
Hi,
I played a anonymous game. In that game one player resigned and he was replaced by another one.
In the game page I can only find the new of the replacing player.
How can I know who was substituted in that game?

@Putin: try opening multiple new threads in a day and you'll get shut down, even by non-moderators.

While were on the topic lets talk about your 28 resigns. Why the fuck did you even come back? This is a site to play diplomacy, the forum is just here. It's not here for you to flood it with your meaningless opinion on everything either. Learn to play the game or gtfo.
wjessop (100 DX)
11 Feb 16 UTC
But Putin, what is really like to hear is who you miss and why. Can you out a positive angle on this story? The few naysayers really just repeat the same line: thry don't like change and the mods are Stasi scum. That doesn't sell or explain 'the old forum' though, and the little description that has been provided is less than savoury, borderline disturbing (see Tolstoy).

We had a community that existed for years and was a unique treasure on the internet, imagine it as a high level subreddit, with people with common interests coming together and matching wits on everything under the sun. I've already said this I don't know why you want me to repeat it. You enjoy the peace and quiet. Got it. You still have no standing to lecture people about their diplomacy play though.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
11 Feb 16 UTC
"a unique treasure on the internet"

Is that what you call a collection of psychopaths talking about raping each other's underage daughters?
Putin33 (111 D)
11 Feb 16 UTC
I don't recall that ever happening. I do recall you being one of the moderators that repeatedly taunted and provoked people during the new regime. Maybe the changes would have gone down better had it been clear from the beginning that the mods simply wanted to drive people they didn't like out of here.
brainbomb (290 D)
11 Feb 16 UTC
Okay Putin33 so start some really douchey topics about animal abuse or something to get a ton of attention. that seems to kinda be your deal self glorifying yourself on the forum instead of giving a damn about the integrity of the game we all come here to play.
trip (696 D(B))
11 Feb 16 UTC
Before that bo. I can agree with Putin that way way back, the forum was tremendous. It didn't turn to shit until later.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))

a) I was a moderator for a little more than three months. The changes continued well after I resigned and were underway before I joined. Draugnar was banned on the first day I was a moderator and the discussion of things like that had been going on long before.

b) I signed on explicitly under the agreement that I had no responsibility or power over forum moderation.

c) Take a chill pill.

wjessop can you please stop attacking bo and bb? I mean seriously I've been holding this in for the longest but this bigotry and hypocriticism has gone on long enough.

bb and bo are actual people with actual opinions and tendencies, some actually quite similar to yours. Example:

When bb was getting affiliated with the forum, you'd shit on him for posting too much, even going as far to imply that he should follow through with his retirement from the game. The fuck is wrong with you? It's this kind of thinking that makes newer players feel uncomfortable engaging in the forums.

Not only did you so rudely attack him for the most trivial of reasons, but went on to do the same thing with the plethora of Supreme Court decision threads. This shows that not only are you an asshole, but you're a hypocrite as well. And don't eve nget me started on the Mafia games. You should be ashamed of yourself. I hope this is the last time I have to call you out on being a jerk.

@trip ... I remember, I was around. It should be no surprise that an organization, even one as small and insignificant in the grander scheme as webDip, undergoes changes following a relinquishment of ownership by its founder and a drifting away from old philosophies that have proven to be less effective than they used to be. I don't know why this is still an issue and frankly it's not surprising that people like Al and Putin, two people whose actions got them squarely put on the webDiplomacy no-fly list, are the people leading the complaining.
brainbomb (290 D)
11 Feb 16 UTC
I dont really know what exactly wjessop was referring to actually. I mean... didnt he just flood the forum with court cases last week? Most of which nobody knew what the hell they were....

Anyway, I dont think he was implying bo and I are the same. Bo is a bear grylls type, he points at lots of pretty mountains.

Okay so maybe I do too.
wjessop (100 DX)
11 Feb 16 UTC
@Yoyo: you need to chill out -- I'm not in any way attacking bo or brainbomb. It's clearly affectionate joking.

Just because you can't read that isn't my problem...

Try reading everything people post as if they were saying it with a smile :)
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))

Other than sentimental value, what good is someone like TC regurgitating his bile or Draugnar threatening to send a regimen of Marines down on your house for our forum? How does their presence benefit the site? The argument has very clearly been made time and time again that their departure made this forum more open and welcoming and obviously that argument is winning, so if people still want to bring that back, what's the argument for it?
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))

@bb ... Bear Grylls is flown out to five-star resorts with plushy pillows and freshly washed cotton and flannel sheets. I clear out the jagged rocks underneath me with my bare hands sleep in ripped tents and mosquito nets and watch the sunrise over the cliffside. He isn't what he used to be.

"I mean seriously I've been holding this in for the long"

Then just message someone privately and ask.

Remember that your perspective isn't always the way something actually is, from everyone else's perspective.

Just calm down though, there's no need to stress and worry. People communicate in different ways.

Durga (3609 D)

Idk wjessop, it really seemed like you were following bb around on the forum and insulting him constantly. "People communicate in different ways" doesn't let you get away with being rude like that.
wjessop (100 DX)
11 Feb 16 UTC
Ok, forum police.

Me and bb have literally just messaged and we are totally good, and are on the same page.

But, by all means, carry on being offended on other people's behalf if it makes you feel better -- even though, clearly, by Yoyo's outburst, he clearly isn't feeling well at all. Seriously, just get a grip :)

I'm saying it with a smile, as almost everything I do :)

Congrats everyone
Some of you may recognise my username - I haven't played here for a fair while now but I used to be a regular member here. One of the reasons I left was because of how toxic this forum used to be, and I'm really pleased that it's got better, to the point where I might even play another game or two on here soon. Really though, this is just a big props to the mod team.

Deleting an account
Is there a way to delete an account? I forgot my original username/password combo and created a new one, but was able to get logged back in under the old. The usernames are really similar so I don't want people to think that I am doubling up (I haven't put any in the same games). Just wondered since I would like the stats to all go to this account, and most likely won't use the other one at all.
