Loyal Elders: Councilor Riot, the Separatists will follow their Elders, who are used to more deference. If you respect the Elders, they may be convinced to join the colony again.

Can I propose that the new mothers policy gets removed from the updates as it's no longer a policy in effect, and that in future any repealed policies get moved rather than left there as repealed?

The idea of the rancid chicken thing seems a little misrepresented. The way I understood is not at all what the task written would imply. I thought the idea was to use the fact that the chicken went rancid to encourage an increase in fish production to make up for the lost chicken meat. The way the task is written seems far more...unhealthy.

To my mind the SoL and SoR are the same thing, right? We need somebody to make sure our labour matches our needed resources. TrPrado is the man for that job, not me.

I don't see my suggestions on the board, but I'd like some discussion on them. My goal would be to give this new council some legitimacy and deference. Given the comment of the Magistrate above, I think this might help bring the seperatists back into the fold. I'll update my proposals to underline this:

- I suggest we ration food, giving the seperatists a minimal ration and the loyalists a double ration. I'll let our SoL figure out how much each should be
- I second the notion of an Elder Council as parliament in town hall. I had mentioned using the original council as such before, but this loyalist council may even be better.
- Give this council the responsibility to sentence people under arrest with incarceration up to one year.
- I suggest our Sec of Relations (Bo) writes up a communication to the Elders, in which we underline that our aim is to harvest pearls and respect the local population. We have clearly failed in the latter, for which we apologise. We mean no offense and respect their wisdom as Elder statesmen, and that we would love for them to return home in an honorable position in the town hall.
