"To my majesty the King,
I, CommanderByron, am writing you in regards to the colony of WebDipia. As a councilor on this colony for 6 months, I have seen both the benefits that this colony can offer your royal coffers and the challenges that stand before it. It is with this knowledge that I am writing this report. I, as a former Royal Naval Commander, know of the hard work and sacrifice that goes into progress; but as a entrepeneur and business owner I also know the immense benefits of investment. It is with these ideals that I am writing this report.
In regards to the security of the colony; in recent months the native colonists have been divided between your crown and their native elders. The councilors have successfully begun earning the trust and support of the seperatist colonists and given time the colony will return to full stability. Of course with your gracious hand and support the colonists would see a king who cares not only for the pearls which the colony harvests but also for them as subjects of his crown.
The prospects of this colony are high, I forsee a thriving economic port for your coffers. The colony has the future ability to produce mined material from a nearby mountain, distilled alcohols, harvested wood and other crops, as well as the already profitable pearl harvests. Given the appropriate investments WebDipia could begin to show strong economic prospect for the empire. This leads me into my suggested investments.
It is my suggestion that the colony be gifted 1,000 gold from the royal coffers to continue advancing the colony forward, this money would be a one time investment should you invest in the distillery that I shall mention later. The gold would be used to pay loyal colonists for their work and as a fixed trading measure for the colony's fledgling economy. I further would like to request 500 loyal colonists; of which I would like to have 2 trained doctors, 1 alchemist, 3 carpenters, 2 masons, 2 blacksmiths, 1 miner, 1 trained fisherman and 2 families of farmers. These people would help elevate the colony's production.
In regards to the logistical investments that could be made in WebDipia, the resources to build and manage a distillery would provide alcohol that can be sold throughout the empire. Further the colony would benefit from the aquisition of several small fishing craft to grow our fishing yield. All in all, the empire will benefit from a new and prosperous colony under its control.
I hope that you can see it in your best interest to meet with me further before I return to WebDipia on the next ship.
Your loyal and humble Coucilor,
CommanderByron"
