@yoyo I had suggested in a previous game that lynching experienced players could be valid town stratagy. But I was wrong. We know from Mafia threads that lynching experienced threats IS a Mafia stratagy. Some say I flip-flop, others say I'm flexible and will listen to reason and change my opinions when the facts change.

some decent action last night. maniac is starting off as his standard crazy town self it seems, whether he's the mayor or vanilla is to be seen. don't see anything yet to make me want to take my vote off Chaqa.

i think if anyone does lurk through most/all of Day 1 I would support a lurker lynch.

Just to echo what yoyo says about lurkers. We have no vig to kill you guys off so we have to do it ourselves. I will be counting posts and assessing contributions closer to day's end. Unless I have firm scum read I'll be leading a wagon on most useless players.

So, caught up after the night. Thoughts:

y2kjbk: Well, he's gone from being defensive, to essentially whining about always being scummy but trying to say "it's different this time". Then, to add the cherry on top, he tops it off by softclaiming on PAGE THREE. That's horrific.

Vashta: Great. Role analysis. The only roles that are new (Medium and BH) are either self-explanatory, or you give nothing at all. So a whole lot of nothing. Can you wipe my ass for me too? Not a great start.

PE: Seems to be thinking the same thing as me a lot. Maybe that's because we're uber-mafia legends on other sites. Far too early for that to be deliberate shadowing, but also yet to be on something really critical. A little townie.

Maniac: Typical ballsy strategy that I'd expect of him. There's no point in seeing him as anything other than town for today.

Fluminator: Putting a lot of convincing into the end-day strategy, with the argument that scum are more likely to panic if we do it. Fair play. Problem is, he isn't really doing much scumhunting alongside it. Whilst I find the end-logic tolerable, I'm not quite buying it, and the fact he isn't also trying to home in on mafia and put a lot of pressure on someone to make them panic like he apparently wants does make me a bit suspicious of him. The most pressure he's managed is telling Vashta "you're my number one scumread right now". Not exactly tearing into someone.

Yoyoyozo: His "joking" around with ghug went on a bit too long for my tastes, but he instantly picked out some of the stuff I dislike about y2k, and pressured him on it. I like that.

WardenDresden: Didn't buckle under the Maniac pressure, and pressured Vashta. Reasonable start. I'm not particularly bothered by the NL thing, though if he leaves it up later then that might change. People throwing silly votes around early on seems to be the fashion here.

Nothing unexpected from Chaqa/ghug/tvrocks, whilst thdfrance has only given his (not great) entry post and guak/krellin haven't said anything at all. That leaves wjessop, who has posted a few times but hasn't done anything of note at all. I suppose that's good, as what noteworthy stuff he did last game, he did as mafia, but I was expecting a bit more from him.

i think you'll find if i make it past Day 1/Night 1 into Day 2, I'll be doing much more scumhunting and much less talking about myself and my personal thoughts, which i guess sounds scummy and defensive. i'm just trying to be honest and open with my thinking.

And you can't do that now because...?

i am doing it, i'm being honest with my thoughts and typing them here and people are reading me scummy for it.
