So it sounds like when Boba Fett has 2 bounties, his night kills will blend in with the mafia and town won't be able to know for sure which is which (mafia will obviously). With all three bounties though, then not only will his night kills stand apart from mafia kills, but they will get the town to not know for sure how many remaining mafia members are alive. Is that accurate?

Thoughts on whether the Mayor should announce early or late?

I mean, being mayor is really cool. Especially if it's you and the bounty hunter at the end.

Mayor should probably not reveal on the first night. Depending on how the first two days go, revealing Night 2 into Day 3 might be prudent.

I think only mayor will know the strength of his own convictions and that will affect his timing of revealing themselves.

Are bounties randomly selected by mods or will they be all vanilla townies? This could affect the game considerably if bounties are also power roles or Mafia.

regardless of the situation, i don't think it would ever be prudent for the mayor to reveal on Night 1 into Day 2. Too many townies left that the mayor would still get a townie lynched with high probability, and he'll almost certainly be the next nightkill and put the town in a bad spot.

We shouldn't get too hung up on losing the Mayor N2 if he reveals early. If Mafia target mayor N2 then they aren't targeting another, more important, power role. Also, I'm a big fan of lynches being town led (even if they're wrong) as it prevents manipulation. The power of the mayor comes from directing lynches, if he is able to do that for D2 and poss D3 if doc protects him, whilst helping distract Mafia from other power roles, then that is worth thinking about. If mayor, doesn't have a clue who Mafia could be D1 then sure he should consider keeping his powder dry.

I'm not saying an early reveal is always optimum, just that an early reveal shouldn't be ruled out either.

So the jailer acts like a doctor as well, that's pretty powerful.

The Mayor's three votes will apply during the day phase because it's a day power. It can only be stopped if the Mayor is rbed before he can reveal or killed (night). If the mayor has revealed then he day power will be in effect each subsequent day phase.

It's too easy to hack the game with mayor. Day 2 reveal, everyone follow mayor's votes, moving against him is against the town. At night jail the mayor, he survives one day after the jailor is killed. He can kill the entire mafia by his lonesome and the bounty hunter.
