Depends on how long you play.

Play 14000000 games and the chance of getting Austria 4 times in a row is pretty high.

It just happens occasionally.

It's not based on finished games, if I recall correctly.

It also depends on your opponents. If they all have multiple games as Austria, then the site may automatically deem Austria to you.

The site does weigh country selection based on prior started games, but its not so overwhelmingly skewed for or against certain countries that it doesn't rule out three or four of the same power in a row, particularly if you haven't played a power in a while. Four in a row isn't unheard of even though its a bit rare. I think if you play here enough you eventually end up with a run of the same country.

Also, Austria is the most fun power to play, so why are you complaining? :P

I've only played 21 games in Europe, and all of the 4 were live games. Austria seems like one of the most difficult to play, I can never seem to do well with it. Enemies on all sides with no freebies.

For example in one of the games of your dogged series, gameID=164568 , you were sandwiched between me, a 1600 point veteran, and Hellenic Riot ( userID=23172 ), a 1900 point veteran. You came in third place in a contest against two champions, and the champions were able to beat you *only* by working together against you. You consider this a loss? If you have one loss per week like this, after a year we will be crowing you the top player of this site.

Please note that in that game I was able to beat you *only* by making a deal with the Devil. I eliminated you not because you were a weak player, but because I correctly recognized you as a serious threat.

You simply have never survived a game that competitive. You wouldn't last in one of my games, as one can conclude by looking at the fact that you loose nearly one in five of the games that you play.
If you troubled to show up at one of my games, you'd be carved into pieces by high school students.

One of the very real beauties of this game played over the internet is that most don't know what colour, creed, nationality or age your fellow players are and so you can avoid the inherent stupidity of making judgements based on irrelevant criteria. As for high schoolers, take Chess, where Judit Polgár is an example of qwat foolishness.it is to make assumptions on that basis.

I feel I should also point out that, while I may "loose" nearly one in five of the games that I play, I also lose rather more often than once in five tries, on average.
