Statistical Report

I'm nearly done with the report I have been putting together. Austria, England, France and Germany are complete. I'm in the process of working on Italy, Russia, Turkey and some general statistics not dealing with any specific country.

Help for feeling like a bad person?

So i'm in a high point non-WTA gunboat, and everyone is playing a top notch game, we are able to communicate using support holds, etc. But then I stab my ally for SCs and profit. I feel sort of bad about it, because i'm essentially stealing a lot of points from somebody that was nice enough to play with me.

How can I feel better about myself in these circumstances?

Minor 'bug'

I stumbled on a very minor bug yesterday. If I have an army in Ruhr, supporting fleet in Belgium to hold, but I change that to support holding an army in Holland, it says: "Army Ruhr support hold to fleet Holland". Should this be fixed?

Hello, I have an idea for a game. The gameID=58416 is set up with No messaging and anon players. Normally the rule is not to discuss ongoing games in the forum, but here, this will be the point of the game. (I got this idea from the dark press game)

Pretty much that's it. A Button that copys you actual orders to the clipboard as plain text so you can post it in your chats.

For pipe's, I like a deeply curved Meerschaum, a Calabash, or a similarly curved burl wood. I like the look and taste of the deeply curved pipes. But I also have a nice churchwarden for when I'm in a "Tolkien" kind of mood. It reminds me of a Hobbit's pipe. I'm not a fan of short and straight though. They burn to hot and destroy the flavor of the tobacco.

And for all this talk of tobacco, I can't stand cigarettes. I never smoked them and once gave up pipes and cigars for two full years to prove to friends and family that I enjoyed them, but didn't need them.

I understand they can be good for tobacco too, but I've never tried one. I'm not really into altering my mind that much. And despite my comments, I'm only on my second Scotch and cigar tonight and that is probably it for the evening. I don't like being drunk and even my "everyday" cigars can get expensive.

altering your mind? Shisha is just tobacco in molasses. Often less of a buzz than other forms of smoking.

But hookah smoking is something I can just turn off, its what I love about it over cigs/pipe.

If it becomes an issue Thucy, one of us can help make the reservation.

At the F2F tourney in Seattle one dude had a smokeless cigarette, he blew out water vapor... It was very odd, but he seemed to really enjoy it...

Thucy, I may have a spare queen bed in my room, if you're looking to share the expense, though I don't drink or smoke and prefer a good night's sleep even while on vacation...

right marx, those are the "inhalers." you can even use them in airplanes because they are just water vapour, but i still think it a bit rude. are there still plans for dinner friday? im going to be there all friday.

Pipes and cigars can be turned off too if you are a casual smoker. I go all winter without smoking one because I don't smoke in the house and I'm not freezing my balls off to just spend an hour smoking a pipe or cigar. And most poker rooms are smoke free nowadays (the rest of the casino isn't, go figure) so most poker players either have to miss several hands to have a smoke or they keep their vices to booze and cards.

I'm good and it's almost 4 in the afternoon here. Always have a beer before you start the hard stuff. It prevents (or greatly reduces) the hangover.

I thought he meant you can actually "turn off" a hookah, as in cut the air. It's harder to stop a cigar/pipe half way through. I could be completely off, though.

But, yeah, I don't think you can actually get addicted to cigars.

As are pipes. Honestly, cigarettes are the truly addictive ones and they are so nasty I don't understand how anyone ever starts except by peer pressure.

CHEATERS!! can the GMs verify?

I am not confident that France and England are different players in "The Return of the Conqueror" game
Can a fleet in English Channel that belongs to England support a french army in Bel if they do not talk to each other or "is" the same player?
This makes the confidence in this site VERY LOW!

Forum issue: timestamps

I've just noticed that there's (something that's potentially) an error in the timestamps on the forum. The stamps shouldn't specify the day/date/month when that date is not *today*, but in fact they don't specify when the post was created within the last 24 hours. Perhaps this was intentional, but when I see a timestamp reading 03:00 PM, even if it's actually 2:30 PM, I don't immediately realise that it was yesterday. Issue or not?
