Since group C had problems, I joined all the games except 3. If someone can be found, I will CD in all those games and if I don't then I won't count anyways. This was just to get the games to happen.
Just cancel the group C games and start afresh...

I'm inclined to agree with President Eden - we have a mixture of players so I'm not sure how we would score it in the league. But before we cancel I think we need any interested players to commit here to join all four simultaneous Group C games, and to agree a mutually convenient start time in the next few days (as short as possible!).

I'll start:
FatherSnitch, OK for the four games to start at minimum of 24 hours notice.

Graeme01, games to start under same conditions as stated above.

They are going, all 3 of them. The 4th died for some reason.
Links to A, B, and C group would be fantastic.

I think we should cancel 3 games we started in group C, and start again all 4 of them at the same time with 7 committed players. This chaotic state we have now will only result with few NMR and ruined league for everyone involved. So everyone should vote for cancel, and than start again. Before new games are started 7 participants should confirm their intention to participate in league.

Can we ask the mods to cancel the games or do we need to wait until everyone clicks the "Cancel" button?

Group A Game 3 has some interesting opening moves:
England coming south instead of opening to Scandinavia
Russia successfully taking Galicia, giving Austria, committed into the Balkans, a headache over what to do in the autumn
Germany opening Mun-Tyr
Italy opening Ven-Pie

Next phase is soon - will be interested to see what transpires!

I think I have worked out which player is in Group C game 3 but not games 1 and 2 and have sent a PM. Are the mods able to boot gman314 from those games or do we need to wait until he CDs (in which case we'll have to re-start a whole new set of games). Just trying to think of a way to salvage what we already have in place...
Seriously, can't comment without links to the games =/

Commentary and Analysis for Game 1 of Group B:

It has been a 1901 of prospering alliances and enemies. Instead of the Northern Opening which is a common opening move, England has opted to move south and potentially face France. But for this year the suspected attack did not occur, and the result of the deceiving move was to attain Belgium. England has also lucked out on Russia’s NMR, leaving him free to take Norway in 1902.

France is facing trouble on an incoming England and tentatively Germany, and we’ll see if Germany will aid either side in this old duel between familiar enemies. The tides will change depending on where he builds this year. Germany will also most likely go for Sweden and head toward Russia because of a NMR.

Italy is in a state of despair because of the builds (or lack thereof). He did not acquire any SC’s, which will surely affect Austria’s influence on what to do with his 2 builds. The two seemed to be allies in 1901 but maybe miscommunication could bring a downfall to this alliance and ultimately Italy. Austria has also lucked out of the NMR from Russia, as this will affect the game to a great length.

Turkey and Russia: a juggernaught? Maybe, as the two seem to be in accordance, as Turkey seems to be heading west for the time being. Turkey grabbed the standard Bulgaria, it will be interesting what he does with his builds and upcoming moves.

Commentary and Analysis for Game 2 of Group B:

England strode in safely to Norway, and his builds will change the focus of the game. England’s move from the Norwegian Sea to Norway reflects his alliance with Russia, and Germany better be prepared; if he isn’t he will soon be defeated. Russia is also putting pressure on the Austrian front, closing into Galicia in the fall. He achieved 2 builds, and will likely build in Warsaw.

France attained 3 builds this year, as he captured to standard Portugal and Spain. Also with Germany and England leaving Belgium to himself, he proceeded to get Belgium. Germany smartly bounced in Munich, as he saw Italy’s army in Tyrolia. Italy also bounced in Trieste, giving us a glance of what may become a feud between the two nations. Turkey tried to get Bulgaria, but failed with Austria’s support move.

This will be my first game start here, if I can actually get it started. I realize 3-day turns are a bit slow for you serious addicts, but think of all the chatting and intrigue you can get done!

Paying someone to stab
In a game I played (gameID=38537), after a lot of profanity, Russia offered everybody else on the global to stab me for money. Nobody has taken him seriously (I hope - although I was the last player to be eliminated by a 2-way draw), but this really bothers me. How would you react? What do you think about this act?

Stabbed Woes
What is your best method to relieve stress when you log on, and find that your good friends have mercilessly stabbed you. My previous method involved drinking my woes away, kicking the dog, and beating my children, but they're starting to tell their friends. Should I just move onto my wife?

What do YOU do to vent your anger?

Is fighting terrorism with extra security good value for money?
In the last 10 years there has only been 1 major terrorist attack on North American soil. - death toll about 3-4 thousand. Is the money spent on stopping further attacks worth it?

The Greatest World Leader of All-Time (And I'm ALREADY Sick of William+Kate! GAH!)
Pretty simple--if you had to choose any past or present world leader to lead your nation--or a new one like, say, Freedonia...Hail, Hail Freedonia!--who would it be? What Kings, Queens, Emperors and Emissaries, Prime Ministers and Presidents have been the greatest in history, and who would you want to LIVE under? We look at the best of the best here (and off-topic, as much as I like the Royal Family in England generally...STOP IT, US NEWS, I DON'T CARE ABOUT A WEDDING YEARS OFF NOW!!!)

How about Syracuse NY for NE gathering
Just looking for a good place for a meeting, what about Syracuse NY as it is fairly central to Ontario and NE US. It is on the junction of I-90 and I-81 and is fairly close for us Canadians.
