I completely agree with you. The punishment of losing his points is enough. And I would also like to get some of my friends on Diplomacy to go against them. It makes the games more fun when you know the people you're playing against.

I know Noah and Jonathan and even though they teamed up against me several times and split the pot 17-17 I don't think they are that bad people.

FWIW metgamer/noah/daytripper, I think you would have been much better off if you friends hadn't come to your defense. Your apology was enough - your friends hurt your cause and your standing in the community.

And don't expect other websites to just ban your bad account and keep your good account. Websites for a profit may do that, but non-profit ones have no real advantage for leaving a 'good' account and only banning the bad one. Webdiplomacy is not a better place with you around. It wasn't metagamer who was posting spam - it was you, the person behind the account. (What a rediculous argument your 'friend' JD repeatedly made on that front!)

i think that, and if i offend anyone i am sorry, but the mods were correct in how they handled it, but to light on some of the friends. i would never defend anyone past the point of hey they are my friend they meant no harm, and they are sorry. period the end.

It sucks that he broke the rules and I completely understand what the moderators are saying about everything. I was just trying to make a strong argument for him. Sorry for pissing everyone off. He broke the rules that were clearly laid down and for that he should be banned. I get it. However, this is over now and what's done is done. @RaucousDragon - the word fuck is hardly a swear word where I come from. I heard a preteen/tweenager say it the other day and their parent didn't even think much of it. To most Americans not of the geriatric set it is perfectly reasonable to say you fucked up. Hell, it's the first word in FUBAR (Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition) and the fourth in SNAFU (Situation Normal - All Fucked Up). And it's the most important word in CF and MCF (Cluster Fuck and Mongolian Cluster Fuck). So, I'm sorry if you are offended by it, but this is an adult site and he fucked up. I accepted his apology and just asked that he keep the current ID so as not to fuck up any more games.
