Personally, 48+ hour phases are too long for me, I like 36 hour phases best... I've played Jacob a couple times recently and am in a long GFDT game with Akroma right now too, so I'd add them to my "Babak List" (i.e. wait until the next round of Ghost-Rating Challenge games after this set plays out before playing with them)... Hmmm, this is part of the reason I started this whole concept of Ghost-Rating Challenge games, so I could hand pick my opponents (Centurian, I know this surprises you!) without being so blatantly controlling, way to out me AND steal my idea, Babak!! ;-)

@ Ghostie - for the calculation of Ghost-Ranking points that each person puts into the pot - is that calculated at game's end or at the game-start? another words, does your system calculate the relative rankings using player rankings at the creation of the game or completion of it?

Centurian: Nope, not while I'm in the top game, at the very least.

Babak: Yeah, play more than one game. It's just I have quite a few on, so I'll only be signing up for a really special game.

I think we need to stop setting up the games in groups of seven with the current requests. Ie MadMarx and Babak/Akroma aren't going to be playing together. Someone care to mix em up (I don't want to be accused of handpicking anything.) Also, if anyone else wants to make a request, they should do so.

I think the concept behind this was to play with players of around you same rating.

I thought it was clear I withdrew any "requests". Yes, I've recently played with Akroma, Babak and Jacob, but that's okay, it'll put a unique twist on a new game with all of them. I'll play with anyone for any phase length, it's just one game so I can/will go with the flow...

In terms of game three, I'm leaving for vacation tonight and will be back on Monday, but I do want to play in that game. I realize if you don't want to wait for me that's fine, but in case the game is made tomorrow and everyone is wondering where The General is, I wanted to let everyone know.

Well... I'm not seeing any other entrants... so I think the first group is set (and I'd be very happy to play with The Ghostmaker, with whom I have yet to play a game).

as for pot size... for the first group - may I suggest 300pts per person? as for deadlines, I think Jacob requested 55 hrs right? Jacob, would you be willing to come down to say 40 hrs? I think most others were asking for 30 to 36... but I'm ok either way.

FYI - Ghostmaker also requested 48+... I prefer 36 hours, but again, I'm flexible, 48 is fine with me and I suppose 55 isn't much worse than 48. The first set of GhostRatingChallenge games were for 143 points so the pot was 1,001 points, not sure Ghost wants to throw nearly half his points into this one game, I think it's more about the people and GhostRating than actual points...

8am EST (I assume that is US time) sounds fine with me. Hopefully I won't get booted out of the 3rd game by then! So are we calling that 12pm GMT (for our international community)?

I'd need a buy in of 87 or less to join the 3rd game, preferable less.
