So, having read up, I think it's pretty clear what our priorities are. We cant improve point production yet because at current levels we're only barely surviving without creating surplus in wheat and wood. We're on those levels because we are on minimum level of workers.
So we should look at ways to (1) increase workers and (2) increase their effectiveness. It's not entirely clear to me how we can increase workers, I suppose the census will tell us more. I am not against activating more of the population (including children), but ONLY if it is socially and culturally accepted here. No sense in upping production at the cost of revolution.
As for increasing effectiveness, The farmer is now tasked with 'observing resource mgmt'. I suggest we move more concretely and
##ASSIGN FARMER to teach locals to use the most effective farming methods, and give feedback how we can improve production.
For clarity, are we using the terms "colonists" and "natives" interchangeably? Naturally, historically this has been different. In any event, I think it's vital to discover if there are more people / resources outside of our current scope.
Also, could somebody fill me in on the skillset of the Alchemist? We should not leave him idle, but for the life of me I cant think of something useful for him to do.
