The Religious State
Having seen many opinions on this forum, I am wondering about the acceptability of a religious state. Should a state be able to be primarily Muslim, Jewish, or Christian (etc.)? Is this acceptable in the modern world? If so, how far can this theocracy of sorts go? May they make laws based upon the respective religion? How far reaching should these laws be?

Please discuss, and remain amicable.

Happy Easter everyone
On this auspicious day I would like to share with the community my belief that the resurrection of Jesus was figurative, and not literal. The "risen" Jesus is the one that won the greatest person in history tournament. Respectfully, that's what I believe. He is risen, risen indeed.

What's the difference between vdiplomacy and webdiplomacy?
I've recently been to the vdiplomacy site and it was very interesting that the interface and logo look similar to the webdiplomacy one. Are the 2 sites somehow related?

I uploaded SunZi's "Little Dipper" Android application to Aptoide
Our very own SunZi (userID=19506) once created a useful Android app Diplomacy adjudicator based on webDiplomacy code. SunZi publically published this adjudicator app ("Little Dipper") on GetJar, where it is still free to download.

For the sake of archiving SunZi's work, which our comrade gave the bare minimum of advertising (threadID=879472 & threadID=882356), I uploaded the app to Aptoide.

What to do?
What do you do when you're playing with an asshole that has the chance to draw, but refuses to do so when it is obvious that another player is going to get a solo? He's so annoying it hurts I really don't know what to do I mean it's obvious that if we continue the game will be a solo for another guy. He simply REFUSES TO DRAW

Just read through. Sounds like you all have been busy. IRL got a hold of me. As of right now the term limit ballot is showing that the HC will not have a lifetime term limit, but will have a limit of two 1 year consecutive terms followed by at least a 2 term cool down before being reelected. Voting is still on but will close shortly as the 24 mark will be reached in 2 hours.

I think only really Krellin wants to do that. The rest of think it better to wait for a census and the observations.

We wait to assignn children to work until after the census
TrPrado (461 D)

We don't know how the parents would react to us taking their children away, so a fair portion of us desire to wait.

To be fair, we aren't really taking them away... Just putting them to work. Personally, I think a more acceptable, yet still effective, method would be to pair children with their parents. That way there would be no separation, but we would still increase our work force.
KingCyrus (511 D)
20 Mar 15 UTC
Magistrate, still waiting on word of the possibility of a crude map.
Hellenic Riot (1626 D(G))
20 Mar 15 UTC
I agree with Cyrus on the pairing with parents, assuming the parents are doing the safer jobs (children chopping down trees seems like a bad idea to me). But I still believe we should wait for the census first.
TrPrado (461 D)
20 Mar 15 UTC
KC, part of krellin's idea would have been to give the girls special housing, meaning taking them away.
abgemacht (1076 D(G))

Magistrate: The guard are capable of producing a crude map, but it will add time to their investigation.
KingCyrus (511 D)
20 Mar 15 UTC
Ah yes, I didn't like krellin's specific plan, though I think in general we can get some of the capable children working.

If the council will agree, I believe a map would be a good idea.
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
20 Mar 15 UTC
I agree with HR about the census, what if we had the children farm for pearls with several RG to act as their supervision and protection. The kids could still return home after work, and wouldn't be unsafe while working.
Hellenic Riot (1626 D(G))
20 Mar 15 UTC
I think investigating the area would be more important than the map. I'd hate for them to miss something important because of the map production. That can wait a month, surely.
If we only assign 11 workers then we get 23 for the next 5 months. We get 75 pearls this month and "172.5" each other month. 172.5*5+75= 937.5. I.E we need more workers. Also, having a surplus of pearls would probably make the king even happier with us.
Hellenic Riot (1626 D(G))
20 Mar 15 UTC
Yeah, assign 12, not 11. Some bad Math there.

I am against unilaterally adding children to the workforce. We should leave that option up to the natives. They are the ones affected by such a plan and their voices should be heard on such a matter. We should not prevent them from putting their children to work in safe positions, and they would be compensated for doing so, but we should not force it upon any parent that doesn't want their child working alongside them.

Question. What are we doing with our hens? is the egg production being counted toward our food stores? and who is maintaining the chickens?

I would like to reiterate a question I previously posed. Why is the workforce composed of less than half of the population?

Convoying Question - the roundabout
Let us suppose someone has an army in Yorkshire and a fleet in North Sea. However, the army is beset by enemies in London and Liverpool.
Our army in Yorkshire is going to be pushed out. If we assume the attack will come from London supported by Liverpool... could our army in Yorkshire, convoy through the fleet in North Sea and land again at the newly vacated London?
