Perhaps I should say, Tuesday evening USA time, so around 24 hours from now.

alright... i'm willing to jump into game 1 if you'll have me... but a few caveats...

1) WTA is the *only* way to play =P I mean PPSC is a nice little variant, but its not "real" diplomacy... just sayin'. (if you all decide on PPSC, that's ok, but please count me out)

2) for a Challenge game, you should rally look at 30-48 hours so you have some real time for diplomacy, anything shorter and its another frenzied fast-paced game rather than a real test of diplomatic skill, which a challenge game is supposed to be ;)

3) I like the Tue night deadline... a lot of people are on vacation till today (in the US) and so will log in tomorrow from work, so we will likely have a 3rd game... it'll be well worth the wait I think ;)

and lastly - someone please PM me with the link and password (and yes, password protected is best so we dont have any mistaken joins)

abgematcht - if the idea is to keep the games open until Tues night... then you kind of have to consider that some of the lower ranked people may fall off the list =( the point of the Challenge game is to try to get as many higher ranked players (hence the Challenge) to play as possible.

the last round, I was ranked 13 and I got bumped to game #2... it happens sometimes...

Babak--I agree that we want as many people as possible, but since I didn't do a good job of outlining the rules at the beginning I was hoping to avoid having an earlier player not play at all. Bumping down to the next game is no problem, but I doubt we'll have 7 more players. In any case, Crazyter can't make it anyway, so the problem is solved.

Troodonte--You'll notice I put hours remaining (now around 8) just for that reason. Although I agree that GMT would be the best to use, if one neglects to do so, it really isn't hard to figure out the conversion.

Or just put the time of your post, as you see it, for us to convert.
