@Tom - That was _most_ impressive. Well played on all fronts - looking legitimately towny all the way, posting just the right amount as you got closer to lylo, and picking the NK's pretty well. Unfortunately, now we all have to scumread you for looking towny. :)

A question for the group as a whole:
How can lone scum be dealt with? Even at 10-1 Tom had an advantage... in part because he was buried so deeply, but in part because town had an abundance of suspicion that had to work itself out until it was about 5-1. Is it advisable for town, when facing a single-scum situation, to start lynching among non-clear lurkers?

The best way to handle it is to not nearly lynch the vigilante.

I think the biggest misstep that was made late game is nobody really asking why I was alive - that would have been a hurdle. 1 scum left will always look good because odds are he will survive a few lynches - but eventually town has to ask why certain people haven't been nk'd.

In this particular game, I think not enough attention was paid to how scum treated me. I bussed a lot of my teammates, but none of them bussed me. If Bald had been more engaged in the game, I would have had an uphill battle considering Balki pushed Prado D1.

I think in a situation where scum gets in early trouble, the deep threat will have to bus - that's why D1 is the most important to look at - because that is where I didn't. I looked good D2 and beyond because we knew that I had to be the deep threat and I had to start bussing - we discussed it in the maf qt.

On D1 I didn't know I was going to have to be a deep threat and start bussing. (well, I bussed y2k to try to save lawyer). But once its decided that you are a deep threat, you just play a town game until you run into mylo or lylo - that's why its hard to spot.

I asked why you were still alive D8 sort of. But N8 you wouldn't have died anyway becuase I'd already asked. But it was the only reason I considered look back at you.

FYI if Chaqa is being bumped back I can still co-GM/GM M30. I have quite a few ideas and would. Am on vacation until the 29th atm but I already know what I want to do.

Nah Tr, Tom was completely the correct NK for most people being mafia.

Chaqa has wanted M30 for literally a year. GMs after him will have to compromise if he can't start before July 17.

For perspective - Vash is on vacation until the 29th. I leave for vacation on July 7. I'm back on the 13th - so the 17th is the first Monday we can start based on that.

It's not that long of a break (~3 weeks), so I think it sounds fine... but I'll be honest in that my priorities have changed a bit, so I'm fine with letting someone else do it.

This is gonna end up with bo and boer and boest getting the numbers wrong again.

I could run a discord game in the mean time if people are into that.

I think that, if carefully made, games with weird settings can be fun, but often when people do invent weird settings, it is just for the sake of having weird settings, not because these settings add something positive to the game, and these weird settings often have unforeseen negative consequences to the gameplay.

M 30 is not role madness, that is too much fuckery and horrible to GM

I think the occasional multi-faction game is good. Not all the time, but sometimes. I enjoyed the game where I was a cult leader.

M30 was originally going to be role madness but Vash talked me out of it. At this point, I may not even GM M30. I just don't have the time or interest anymore.

Jamie enjoyed being the cult leader because secretly, in rl, he IS a cult leader. Just saying...
