The Religious State
Having seen many opinions on this forum, I am wondering about the acceptability of a religious state. Should a state be able to be primarily Muslim, Jewish, or Christian (etc.)? Is this acceptable in the modern world? If so, how far can this theocracy of sorts go? May they make laws based upon the respective religion? How far reaching should these laws be?

Please discuss, and remain amicable.

Happy Easter everyone
On this auspicious day I would like to share with the community my belief that the resurrection of Jesus was figurative, and not literal. The "risen" Jesus is the one that won the greatest person in history tournament. Respectfully, that's what I believe. He is risen, risen indeed.

What's the difference between vdiplomacy and webdiplomacy?
I've recently been to the vdiplomacy site and it was very interesting that the interface and logo look similar to the webdiplomacy one. Are the 2 sites somehow related?

I uploaded SunZi's "Little Dipper" Android application to Aptoide
Our very own SunZi (userID=19506) once created a useful Android app Diplomacy adjudicator based on webDiplomacy code. SunZi publically published this adjudicator app ("Little Dipper") on GetJar, where it is still free to download.

For the sake of archiving SunZi's work, which our comrade gave the bare minimum of advertising (threadID=879472 & threadID=882356), I uploaded the app to Aptoide.

What to do?
What do you do when you're playing with an asshole that has the chance to draw, but refuses to do so when it is obvious that another player is going to get a solo? He's so annoying it hurts I really don't know what to do I mean it's obvious that if we continue the game will be a solo for another guy. He simply REFUSES TO DRAW

Requiescat in pace. The man deserves a proper funeral. How far are we from the island? The burial at sea may or may not be necessary.
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
19 Mar 15 UTC
@TrP- A burial at sea, is considered in many cultures to be a proper funeral and for generations has been the premier way to dispose of the dead at sea.
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
19 Mar 15 UTC
If the missionary approves of a sea burial then I see no reason why we should have to risk our entire ship including several children. Even if the missionary doesn't approve it I think we should still consider.

Bury at sea, ASAP!
CommanderByron (801 D(S))

If a burial at sea is appropriate and we take on no ill effects of disposing of his body then I think any option that keeps him aboard is directly threatening to the ship.

Captain, as this is your ship, you should make the final call; obviously taking into account the councilors....

Your long journey finally ends at the shores of WebDipia. As the Captain’s crew unloads your cargo, you are greeted by the Magistrate. He welcomes you to WebDipia and is glad to see you are well supplied and have come with ample advisors. These advisors will serve you well as you set out to rule WebDipia, but the Magistrate reminds you that these advisors are only as good as their experience and skill allows.

The Magistrate leads you away from the shore, where several colonists are fishing. You shortly arrive to the center of town, which contains a town hall, with suitable room the Councilors to live, an empty Barrack, a small Granary, and many small huts. There is also a large wheat field, which is being tended to by workers. The Magistrate informs you that the island contains around 1,000 colonists.

The Magistrate hands you a scroll, which contains basic info of the town and will be updated by the Magistrate as the Councilors learn more about WebDipia. tinyurl.com/WebDipia

The Magistrate eagerly awaits the commands of the Council.

What sort of medical personnel are on the island?

I propose we gather 20 of the colonists, and have the farmer oversee the planting of our seeds, using them as labourers, straight away. That'll get him out doing something useful and off our minds for a while.

Magistrate:
- Why has the flow of pearls slowed so much?
- What is the disposition of the natives?
- Do you have any specialty workers of your own here? (carpenters, Doctors, masons, Blacksmiths)
- What is the disposition of the colonists?
- Explain how we harvest pearls.

Can the Magistrate give us an update on Point production? How does it proceed, how many are involved?

It would also be a good idea to get an assessment of the local talent -- of the 1,000 colonists, what skills do they possess? Who amongst them demonstrate leadership abilities? And most importantly, are there rabble-rousers amongst the colonists causing problems?

Finally, what is the threat asseesment? What dangers do we face, from human, to animals, to disease?
TrPrado (461 D)
19 Mar 15 UTC
I was going to go one at a time, but I suppose asking all at once works too.
Also:
Are there any institutions of higher learning here?
What language is spoken? (I hope it is our native tongue)
What is the highest level of technology you have here?

Did the Governor not have Royal Guard here before he died? What was his specific cause of death?

Can we look into the status of Councilor Dresden? He hasn't voted for any of the matters in regards to the HC.

Convoying Question - the roundabout
Let us suppose someone has an army in Yorkshire and a fleet in North Sea. However, the army is beset by enemies in London and Liverpool.
Our army in Yorkshire is going to be pushed out. If we assume the attack will come from London supported by Liverpool... could our army in Yorkshire, convoy through the fleet in North Sea and land again at the newly vacated London?
