"Obama can't run on his record and he's screwed in the absence of a teleprompter."
On his record: True (to an extent, I think there are things he can run on as well as the deficiencies) but Romney has record issues as well that Obama can exploit...let's not forget all those businessman skeletons in the closet he still has, the 47% remark (Biden used it, Obama hasn't, watch for him to use it in a key moment tonight if it fits) and I'd also disagree...
Obama is BETTER with a teleprompter, but then, most public speakers are, he's not flailing or George Bush-bad without one, just lesser, and so it APPEARS worse:
When a bad speaker is a little worse without a teleprompter, not too noticeable...
When a good speaker is noticeably worse without one, well, it IS noticeable...but they ARE still a good speaker at their core.
"Romney's wall of facts."
You mean Romney's Wall of Vague and Unsupported Assertions.
I'm sorry, but for all the great rhetoric of his I'll give you for Debate #1, I DID NOT here him killing with facts...
In fact, quite the opposite, and it's telling when both Obama and Biden AND the ABC Moderator asked their counterparts to be specific and tell HOW, SPECIFICALLY, they would Fix X, and the response both gave were vague answers (the ABC Moderator called Ryan on this) and Romney said he'd "Sit down" with Congress to "work it out."
Sorry, but "sitting down" and "Working it out" is neither a novel new idea Obama has yet to try, NOR is it specific.
