Ah come on Octavious, these acronyms are really simple and a great way of enhancing the anonymity of the game somewhat. The list is very logical, unambiguous and easy to remember if you take a good look at it. Just make a little effort and join us already, it'll be fun!

Now, hold up, we're not through negotiating yet. ;)

36 hours is all right, though I'm still with Ghug in preferring 48. Regarding retreats and builds, negotiating over them is something I see as an improvement over "classic" Diplomacy, especially build negotiations.

Consequently, I'm hesitant to "commit" to readying. If I am ready, of course, I will certainly ready. But if there is room for more negotiation, I like to have the opportunity to do that. Particularly in 36 hours.

@Redhouse, why is the acronym thing such a big deal? I'm fine with it, but it really doesn't help all that much with anonymity, and people have bigger tells than country typos (I usually inadvertently identify the players I've played before in semi-anon games such as this pretty quickly). I also think some of the territories have better acronyms than the ones you've given, but that's just me.

I'm not really in favor of any delays in retreats & builds, but can be flexible on the build phase as long as the turn length is no more than 36 hours. I'd prefer we keep retreats immediate and without negotiation.

@Tasnica, I'll go with the dangermouse formula on R&B, what do you say?

Hey Achilles, I'm sorry, but in the end we managed to get all the players in the game, which is also a good thing! Thanks all!
Since a round is coming up that could be followed with retreats, I'd like to remind you all of the agreement we made to ready the retreats and whenever possible, ready up the builds as well.
Also, if you want to take notes for your EoGs, open a dialogue overview with a country and then replace the "CountryID" until you find the number that corresponds to your *own* country. That allows you to "send messages to yourself" and take notes on what happens.
