@bart - probably, depends on the situation. We tend to allow almost anything ingame, because diplomacy is diplomacy and you should be allowed to try whatever methods you deem appropriate.

Well, for what its worth, Tyler Durden was attacked for being an American BEFORE he called the German a Nazi. Seems that if the Nazi doesn't want his heritage attacked, perhaps he should refrain from stereotypes as well? Assuming all Americans are dishonest is no better than assuming all Germans are Nazis.

Wow... You guys honestly thing what I said was out of line? I didn't say anything negative to him until the Nazi comment. Long before that he had already called me "a stupid idiot and an ass...cant believe that u play here", and an "egoistic jerk." He'd also said "die in hell", "fuck u...take it idiot" and "i really hate u." Also, as Dingle pointed out, my comment was in response to him saying "thats how i am...a honest man not like u AMERICANS". Remember, I'd done nothing in the way of messages to insult him, I just played the game and beat him. Also, when I called him a a Nazi he responded by calling me "u NIGGER FUCKER", "a lousy ami" (the colloquialism for Americans that was much in vogue during WWII) and then finished with a noce long rant about the American auto industry. He definitely crossed the line first. I let him ignore Versailles, Militarize the Rhineland, take the Sudetenland. When I finally mobilized and threatened back, he got all pissed and invaded Poland. My response there (and that last bit here) was clearly in jest. He insulted me first, so I responded in kind. It's not my fault if I have thicker skin than him. If he can't take a joke, fuck him.

Well in german the word 'Neger' doesn't really carry as much weight as saying nigger in english and he does do alot of literal translation from german to english. Not that i'm backing anyone up here. Although I do think it would be a good idea to do something about publically showing game press on the forum, people can say and use all kinds of tactics to infuriate players, who then may make mistakes. These words may not actually reflect that persons attitudes or beliefs, but by announcing this on the forum, the player may come under the same stigma as a player accused of cheating, which in turn alters future interactions with players who have read this thread. That to me ins't right.
