usually when you do a Ghost-rating thread like this... the best method is to set a deadline... say Tuesday at noon... THEN take multiples of 7 from the top to see how many games you have. to simply start a game when you have the first 7 respond, you're not really doing a ghost rating challenge game.

also - I'd recommend you set some sort of parameters... say players ranked 100 to 500 or whatever... but I do suggest you keep this open a while longer and see how many ppl you get interested rather than getting started now that you have enough for a game.

Jarrah - good to see you made the jump... you are going to have a hard time getting top ghost rated players to knowingly get in a game with you so quickly... specially because you are such a good player... b/c its a high-risk no-reward game from a ghost rating standpoint... if they beat you, they get very little since you have so few points. but if they lose to you, they will lose A LOT... =) but it wont take you long to get into the top tier... i bet less than 15 games ;)

WTA or PPSC doesn't make too much of a difference to your ghost-rating score.

It should be a low enough pot anyway that it shouldn't matter.
That said, Jarrah, if you want to play a WTA game, and have any points then i'm interested too.

I'd join, but I've really got to finish up some of my current games though. I went a wee bit overboard over the last couple of weeks and need to reduce the # of games running simultaneously:)

Babak - hiya! You were one of the first to make the jump, although my record was never anything like yours. Julien in particular never thought I was that good!! :-P

I don't think we ever actually managed to play together over on FB though... Although I was always highly envious of your record, and watched your games with interest. (Particularly that game as Turkey where, I believe you moved to MAO and got applause from me :-)

And, to correct the record, the difference between an experienced player here playing in a game with 6x 200pt players and 5x 200pt players and me is going to be less than 10 percent, or a loss of a point or two. More experienced players should have nothing to fear with just the one underrated player in a game.

However, If I brought Matt, JV, Avinoam and we all played against a few experienced players here, then there'd be something to worry about !! (Although playing any game against JV and Avinoam, one should be worried because they're so damn good!!!!)

Babak, Thanks for the tips. The last time this was done, it was organized by someone with much more forethought than myself; hopefully, this will work out fine, though.

36h WTA and 25 is fine by me!

25 and 36 hours is ok for me. I would prefer PPSC if it's ok for the others, but I can live with WTA if absolutely necessary. Not that it changes much in terms of points, but I like PPSC games more.

In order to avoid people joining by mistake, I would suggest making a private game and sending the password by private message (that would also ensure that we all see when the game is created).

I prefer 36 or 48 hour games too. I don't mind PPSC or WTA. As it's effectively a tournament I'd say WTA would be best, but the threat of that might be keeping a lot of players away.
