@bartdogg42 - i don't know, you're damn good. as for me, i can't imagine that i actually am thirteenth best, but the ranking does reflect results, so i guess i take it more as, i've been doing well lately. if i can keep in the top 15 for several more months, then that's another thing, such as how MM and TMG, Rait, Ivo, Akroma, Jacob, etc are consistently in the top 10.

man, i wish this rating had come out about a week later so that i had my three solos, then maybe i wouldnt be by far the worst ghost rated person in the TGM tournament: #7660

558th at 139.3. Massive improvement for me. I guess winning a league game really helped.

Yeah, how have I played 15 games? I have only completed 2, plus another 8 games I joined.

@Orathaic, I'd be up for a Rating List game. The last one I played was loads of fun.

JECE: As I said, the counter went all screwy I'm going to have to look into it. Sadly, there is no way of distinguishing between a game you joined mid way and a game you played all the way through.

bartdogg42: You won three solos out of four league games. That does put you, at the very least, as one of the best performing players, and performances is all I can rate people on.

No separation of takeovers and from scratch games? Hmmm... Have to reconsider CD takeovers if they are going to have a negative effect on my ghost rating.

Its a shame that it works that way with CD, and I plan to improve it in the future, even if by imperfect means.

as for my ranking, I'm surprised I didnt drop ... I had a couple of bad losses this last month... and does not look like I'll be improving based on my current games. meanwhile - Ms. bent... how rude of you to cut in line like that... wait your turn to get into the top 10... some of us have been trying for a long time =P congrats on a great month.

also Ghostie - would be hard to get the delta back into your spreadsheet? both for the rank # and for the actual accrued points. i found it quite fun to compare the relative changes in people's scores and positions.

As was mentioned in another thread, there seem to be a lot of people in the rankings with only 1 game. I think I remember a discussion a while ago about a minimum number of games before they were entered into the ranking. What became of this.

As I was writing this, it occurred to me that everyone needs a ranking if they are to affect others ranking. Is this the reason everyone is on the ranking list?

I have to calculate it for everyone, certainly, and, although I could put a filter on, I've chosen not to.

The list used for the GFDT (from way back last year) put 8 games down as the requirement to get rated.

To make 50% of the movement takes in the region of 10-20 WTA games according to a very simplistic model. Given that it is an unofficial system, I am considering ways of fiddling with the V formula to improve this rate of change without making things too wild.
