"Resigned" status

Minor item but it affects player stats. In this game "Lil Trotsky" was defeated and should have had his units disbanded, but since the win condition is processed first, he is marked "resigned" instead of "defeated".

Help! Double account user defeating people!

This double account user in one of my game is doing it VERY cleverly. I emailed to mod, sent PM to TheGhostMaker, but I think eitehr they didn't get it/check it or they are still not sure if it is really double account of same person. But the user is playing MANY games in which his both account is playing.

Looking at the new Ancient Med map, I wonder, is a geometric map possible? Forget looking at actual countries, but I wonder if a Diplomacy map could be more like Chinese checkers, where everyone's home is the same shape and size and equidistant from everyone else, which would mean there would be no preference for country, but would all come down to actual diplomatic skill.

the variant bank is awesome - you guys should check it out sometime...

there are literally 1000s of different Diplomacy variants created over the past 60 years... and in the PBEM communities, they actually play a LOT of them regularly... the php platform will also get there soon... i have no doubt. the variety is going to make this site and this game 100x more fun than it is today - you'll all love it ;)

LOL... Orathaic beat me to it -- Migraine was the first one I thought of when I saw the thread. I've never been able to talk anybody into trying it. I think it looks fascinating, although I suspect the highly-connected nature of the regions and the amount of sea exposure could make it nearly impossible to use anything but a hyper-defensive strategy, which might get boring.

There's something funny with the Game counter (they seem to be about 2 or 3 too high), but it still gives an idea.

Newbie here

We currently are playing at www.playdiplomacy.com but we are getting annoyed with it. Does this site tell you if you enter an invalid move or does it still allow the command to be entered? Like if you try to move to a place 2 spaces away?

Move question

I think the answer to this is obvious but here goes:

Army A, B and C are all owned by the same country. Can Army A move to Area B, and Army B move to Area A with support from C? Would this successfully switch Army A's and Army B's positions?
