Remove the no orders/saved/ready icons
There are 10 minutes to go and still !! is shown next to a country. It's probably going to NMR. This allows countries around it to make moves that they normally wouldn't confident that the sensible supports and moves to SCs won't take place. Which unbalances the game.

If the icons were removed then it is less obvious that an NMR is about to happen. Is there a reason for the icons that I'm missing?

CD vs NMR
I'm looking at my CD's and NMR's, and I noticed that in one game that I had a Civil Disorder, it gave me 12 NMR's, another CD 3 NMR's, and then the rest of my CD's I have 0 NMR's. Can anyone explain how this works and why there's such a huge discrepancy on this? And is this also a "double jeopardy" against my Reliability Rating to count NMR's and CD's from the same game? This part has always confused me. Thanks!

New Zealand has a new Prime Minister
Labour did a full coalition deal with our weird centrist version of UKIP, so that'll be interesting. Greens to make up the numbers with confidence and supply in exchange for policy concessions and ministers outside of cabinet. I for one am cautiously optimistic about the coalition of chaos.

But I don't know if I've ever seen a fastball move as much as Berrios'

It wasn’t even a horrible pitch, but it appears Judge was looking for it.

I need to find out who owns Berrios in my fantasy league lol

Gold, if you had to pick one of Sanchez and Judge to be the future of the franchise and the other gets cut, who would you pick?
Judge 100x out of 100. I'd take an average hitting catcher who can block a damn wild pitch.

Also Sanchez's nuts are somewhere down in the fifth circle of hell right now from that shot they just took.
ghug (5068 D(B))

Sanchez is gonna be better long term even if he never plays good defense.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
04 Oct 17 UTC
Sanchez's nuts are not having a good night. That hurt me and I'm 3000 miles away.

Aaron Judge is a fucking stud. I would take him too. More star power, better offensively and with lots of room to grow, plays good defense, can run the bases, and intimidates the shit out of every opposing pitcher. I wish he were with any other team. Sanchez is probably not gonna stay at catcher forever over his average at best defense and the injury potential. Both are gonna be fantastic.

You're gross
What can I say, I want the rivalry back to where it was 15 years ago. I want to go back to fearing for my own physical safety when I walk around Boston with a Yankees hat on.

Indians over Nationals in 6
D-Backs will beat the Dodgers like they have all season and Nationals will crush the Cubs and D-Backs.

No one in the AL can beat the Indians, not with Andrew Miller back and with Kluber and the best bullpen in the league firing on all cylinders.
MoscowFleet (129 D)
04 Oct 17 UTC
I actually think the Yankees have a better chance at beating the Indians than the Red Sox have of beating the Astros.

Also Gold, all you’re going to see in the AL East for the next 5-10 years is New York and Boston battle it out for the division. That rivalry will heat up soon enough.
Zach0805 (100 D)
04 Oct 17 UTC
I agree Moscow
The one team that has a chance against the Indians is the Yankees in the AL. They have the formula to beat them. However the Indians depth too deep at points for the Yankees to handle. We can thank last years playoffs when half of Tribe’s rotation was on the DL several pitchers we would over look like Trevor Bauer who normally be a relief becomes a really good starting pitcher, as long as he stays away from drones.

Considering the Indians can let Kluber only go to 70-80 pitches before tossing in Miller allows him to pitch more and more trouble for all teams.
My only solace is that we have like 3 Andrew Miller's on the roster. Should be a good series.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))

It's the playoffs. Mathematical formulas are only as important as the 25 players' abilities to execute those mathematical plans on each side. It doesn't take much to throw everything out of whack.
ghug (5068 D(B))
04 Oct 17 UTC
Yeah, the idea that any team wouldn't have a chance to beat any other team is kind of silly.
KansasBoyd (25 DX)

Especially in baseball where the worst teams still win at least 40% of the time for the most part.

Baseball has the least amount of difference between the best teams and the worst teams of any of the North American professional sports IMO.
ghug (5068 D(B))
04 Oct 17 UTC
I think that's more of a function of how baseball works tab it is some matter of parity. There's a huge variance in both outcomes of single events and in ordering of those events that doesn't even out over the course of a single game like it does in other sports.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
04 Oct 17 UTC
Even the worst teams typically beat someone at least 60 or 70 times a year. The playoffs really don't follow the same sort of scale as the regular season in that sense.
JEccles (421 D)

With it being the playoffs, and this being one of the strongest fields in a long time, I'm throwing records out and going off of what I've seen in the last couple months as far as form goes:

Cubs vs Red Sox, Red Sox take the World Series.

ALDS HYPE

Yanks and Astros are my predictions for tonight. Don’t know why, even though I hate them, I’ve got this feeling about this Yankees team.

Why have the North Americans invented all kinds of sports that almost nobody else plays? To call themselves World Champion without even playing against a team from another country (besides a loose Canadian here and there)?
Plenty of other countries play. They're just disproportionately in the Caribbean and Japan. Basketball is starting to grow in the world, too.
ksako8 (1433 D)

But the US final is still called the world series. But it is a NA thing only.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
05 Oct 17 UTC
It's been called that since 1903. Perhaps then it was a cocky, stupid American thing. Nowadays, though, the best players in the world play in the MLB, not in other leagues. It is a competition of the best in the world.
ksako8 (1433 D)
05 Oct 17 UTC
How do you know? They never play the others
ksako8 (1433 D)

In football (the game you actually play with your feet), Real Madrid and Manchester City are also stronger and play in stronger competitons than Feyenoord or Shaktar Donetsk. Still, they actually play each other, so the winner of the UEFA champions league plays in a competiton where all European countries play. And then the winners of all continental leagues play to find the best in the world. That is a real world series.
In MLB or NBA or in gridiron (what Americans call football but is more like American rugby), they play in their national competition only and then claim to be world champion.

There's a World Baseball Classic akin to soccer's world cup. The top teams generally consist of players who play professionally in America. The best players don't always play, as they find the MLB preseason more important.

Top players from the Japanese, Cuban, and Korean leagues have come to America to play. Some succeed. Many don't. Few enjoy similar success to what they had back home. Other Latin American players simply come to America.

The MLB is unquestionably the highest level of competition in baseball. I could go through and say similar things about basketball, but they don't even call their championship "world", and I think you get the point.
KansasBoyd (25 DX)

To think there is any club team in the world that could compete with the MLB, NBA, NFL or even NHL champions and win a best of 7 series is pretty downright silly.

Soccer is completely different where SEVERAL countries have elite leagues that teams compete in - mainly England, Spain, Germany, France and Italy.

There are no other leagues that are on the same level as the NFL. Most division one college teams would likely destroy the best all star team from any other country much less a club team.

Baseball, basketball and hockey have other leagues around the world but not close to the level of the leagues in North America.

I think the KHL in Russia could complete with the NHL, which is an interesting dynamic going forward. It all comes down to who is paying - the best players are all going to go there.

Refugees.. Does Uganda treat refugees better than many wealthy Nations ?
More refugees from South Sudan entered Uganda in the last 12 months than entered Europe. Uganda allows them to enter, to work, gives many a small plot of land to farm. To appease locals in regional areas where refugees settle the Government allocates 30% of aid to local communities. My own Nation, Australia, a relatively wealthy nation treats some refugees well, but others with harsh treatment, incarceration in detention camps.
